"How can a coach be motivational if he berates and yells at you every day and tells you how worthless you are? How do you have home games and all players don’t dress? How does this promote teamwork and integrity? How do you keep a 33 girl roster hidden? Certainly not honest! Well he did and made the girls from the previous year raise 1000 EACH to support a 33 roster agenda!! And if it’s not raised there are consequences!! How do you perform you best when the coach purposefully puts division between the players so that they don’t like each other? How is a coach caring when he sobs that the girls would like to take part in a school activity and he’s crying (literally) that they want to enjoy school experiences and he’s telling them no? What else is there to say? All of the qualities listed above… honestly there should be 0’s to choose from. "

"Jeckyl and Hyde coach. Mentally abusive and plays smoke and mirrors with student athletes. Mark plats favorites and berates others. Mark in unorganized and a poor communicator. There are reasons he has had MANY coaching jobs. Mark also allows his assistant coaches to abuse players as well. Do not let your child attend this University!"

"This man is not a decent human being. He takes young women, who have good character and shatters their confidence. He attacks them personally. Rather than actually coaching and mentoring his players, he berates them. He takes 28-33 players, yet ONLY 7 girls ever see the court. He actually tells the remaining 21-26 players that they will NOT ever play and they better have a good attitude about it. If the team loses, he says it's the fault of the non-starters for not preparing the starters enough and for not cheering loud enough. The 7 precious starters never get reprimanded. In fact, they are encouraged by the coach to have separate dinners and social gatherings from the rest of the team. They are also encouraged to tell the coach if any of the non-starters have negative comments so that the coach can berate them. He thrives on drama and negativity. When traveling, he treats other coaches, restaurant staff, hotel staff etc very badly. He does not represent QU well and many people have called and complained about his treatment of them. He gossips and carrying himself like a teenager rather than a role model. He also makes sure to not allow the non starters any stats or film, which makes it difficult to transfer. QU is a great school, but do not allow your child to play volleyball for this man. They will loss their love of the game!!!"

"Beware of this coach and do not allow your child to be recruited by him. He is very nice during the recruiting process but makes promises he doesn’t keep once your child is at the school. Mentally abusive. Not even a month into the season and 4 returning and 1 freshman have quit the team. Those that don’t start are not treated as part of the team and he only plays the same 7 players and recruited 33!"
