"Our daughter went through the recruiting process with Coach Nicole. She was absolutely wonderful as well as her dad, Coach Rich. We had read reviews prior to our visit. The coaches completely set any concerns to rest. They know what they are doing and their goals are clear for this team and the future. It was very apparent all the girls love their coach and their team culture is excellent. Everyone was happy and it truly seemed to be a family environment. We were truly impressed with Coach Nicole and how personable she was and her ability to really relate to our daughter. In the end, our daughter went a different way but it was hard to turn down such an amazing community and Coach at Anderson. We love Coach Nicole and Coach Rich and can’t wait to cheer on this team!!"

"Let’s judge the coach on the job she was hired to do—not on a narrative created by a now twice-fired ex-coach. Whenever a new coach takes over a program, there are going to be people who are happy with the change and people who aren’t. That’s reality. But before we pile on, how about we actually give Coach Nicole a chance to build the program? Coach Nicole is young, and so are the majority of coaches in college athletics today. What she may lack in years of head-coaching experience, she makes up for with an incredibly successful collegiate career, a deep understanding of the game, and a genuine passion for developing the next generation of players. Almost any coach can teach the X’s and O’s. What separates a great coach is the ability to take that knowledge, communicate it, build confidence, create a culture, and inspire players to compete and believe in themselves. That’s what Coach Nicole brings. She is extremely dedicated to her players and to the job. She wants these young women to have the best possible four-year college experience—both on and off the field. At the same time, make no mistake: she is fiercely competitive and wants to win. She has already shown what she is capable of, and now she deserves the opportunity to put her vision, experience, and leadership into the program. You don’t have to agree with every decision a coach makes. That’s part of sports. So, how about we give her a fair opportunity to lead, build, develop, and win before we decide what kind of coach she is."

"Coach Nicole recruited my daughter, and every interaction we’ve had since day one has been positive. She communicated clearly with our family and was patient with our daughter throughout the recruitment process. There was never any pressure to commit, and she always maintained a respectful, kind demeanor. While other coaches were also recruiting our daughter, Coach Nicole was understanding when she requested time to make a decision, allowing her to complete other recruiting visits. After committing and signing, Coach Nicole has continued to communicate with the recruits (within the NCAA constraints) and has been building a culture to bring the girls together even before they arrived on campus. As a result, the girls have started building friendships that will be valuable before they step on the field together. Our daughter is thrilled to join Coach Nicole’s team at AU. "Terrible experience. Lost multiple games due to poor coaching. It's obvious she does not know X's and O's. Team went from a National ranking on defense to one of the worst. No organization in the offense either. Left trust in to two particular players who lost games for them. Rarely used her bench. Was outhustled in the 2nd half of almost every game. Poor coaching staff she picked as well. Her father, who I think runs the team, terrible. Was told, can't verify, that their strength and conditioning schedule increased during season. Max rep in season is unheard of. No contact injuries started piling up. Poor decision by the University to hire her and hrr father. Even worse is they are keeping her. "

"Lack of knowledge of game. Not good at communication. If you’re looking for a coach to build you as a player and give true feedback on all sides of the ball, look elsewhere. Anderson had the potential to do great things this year but unfortunately were out coached. Anderson needs a dedicated coach who wants to win, wants to develop the girls and most importantly stops letting “players” who do not do anything stay on the team. She shows a disrespect for the girls on the team who show up each day and give it their all even those who deal with injuries, and lets others do whatever they want while they still get to claim they are on the team. Overall her lack of iq, maturity, and desire to get better as a coach is what is going to drag this program down. "

"Coach Nicole is the type of coach you want coaching your daughter. She is kind but direct, motivational, honest, driven, and incredibly dedicated to her players. She cares about winning, but even more importantly, she cares about building a strong culture and making sure her players have a meaningful four-year experience—both on and off the field. Coach Nicole had an incredible collegiate career, and she has taken everything she learned as a player and turned it into a successful program. Last season, her team finished with an impressive 8-2 conference record, and with a record number of high-level recruits coming into the program, the future is incredibly bright. "Nicole Voci was given the job as head coach after head coach Wallach left to the division one level. She took a team that was on the rise in the NCAA ranks nationally, with phenomenal stats, some amongst the top 5. She was given the job because they could pay her way less than other tenured D2 and D1 coaches that applied, not because she was the best choice. The players knew she had no IQ for the game when this happened, which is why she had 14 girls in the transfer portal right after getting hired. At one point in her first two years she had over 10 girls on Injury Reserve, she even has two full lines of attackers, 6 of which never saw the field during games. She does not make adjustments or substitutions and it costs her the game. Not only is she terrible, but so was the strength coach, causing injuries in the weight room that are life long, hips and backs. No girl should have to hear that she probably needs knee replacements by 30, absolutely insanity. If you or your child are thinking about coming here, THINK AGAIN!!!"

"Played underneath this coach when she was an assistant coach and also a head coach at anderson. She treated us more like friends than a coach. Her IQ defensively and offensively was just not there which caused for us to lose many games that we could’ve won. And the strength and conditioning coach that she had us working out with is not good and the girls were not getting in better shape and even some girls got injured from the workouts and lifting plan she has them doing during school year. And having her father be an assistant coach, he also did not have great lacrosse IQ either. I just don’t think that the things she does in practice is beneficial. I had high school practices that were better than her practice plans. The plan that she has for this program is not going to be successful for the next coming years and is going to leave this program from once being a top rank program to being a program that is not the best. Her and her father are going to run that program into the ground."

"If anyone has an athlete considering playing for this coach you should reconsider! She has no compassion for her athletes and is not accessible to them, if they become injured instead of feeling seen and supported they are tossed aside. I doubt she even checks in on them or even knows the extent of the injuries. Poor communication with the training staff has led to injuries at practice with no trainer present. Injured players were presented with a contract titled “injured player job description and only injured players were required to sign it! If they refused they were not permitted to attend anything team related. The contract was written by another player! The coaching staff basically consists of her long time friend and her father and a undergrad student that attends the university, she doesn’t have to be accountable since this provides insulation for her to do whatever she feels. Very immature, won’t look a parent in the eyes, that speaks volumes as to the person she is. I honestly don’t believe she is the “head coach” I feel her father truly is running the show. She is a liability to this university! They need to do better for these athletes "

"Terrible coach, who is to immature to be at this level. Does not let the Captains be team communicators. Refuse to go over film with players. Has little knowledge about the game as a whole. Puts childish rules in place. An example is that you can not talk about the game for 24 hours. Does not show up for player conferences. Ask the players to see her about head injuries before seeing trainers. "

"Nicole Voci is a manipulative and selfish person. She took over a recently ranked top 25 program looking to go to the NCAA tournament in their third year as a program. She took an extremely promising team and turned it into a joke. The players on the field are clearly her favorites, you can see it in practice as well. She refuses to change anything during a game resulting in embarrassing loses or almost loses. Voci has no respect for her fellow coaching staff besides her father who seems to be running the show. This school made the biggest mistake hiring her instead of the more qualified coaches that applied. I believe she was hired because the school can pay her less than any other coach that applied. Her inexperience and immaturity showed through the season. Having as many players out with injuries, most didn’t return to play the whole year, something was wrong. She treated the injured players like they did not exist. She made them sign a contract when no one else on the team had to singling out those who were injured. She cut many injured players money as they were not what she was looking for in the team. She also cut players because their mental health was “too bad” and negatively affecting the team. This was not what she was looking for in players. She has ruined the sport for so many and the team will only get worse from here on. "

"Out of her element coaching a once top 25 D2 team. No experience and it shows. Offensive is pathetic, defense looks lost, clears and rides are really bad. Looks like a mediocre high school team playing. So much talent being wasted on the roster because of the coaches. Should have hired a tenured coach to get the most out of these girls. "

"The Anderson girls lacrosse team was on the rise and a few pieces from competing to get into the NCAA tournament. Coach Wallach left for Furman and the assistant coach was promoted. Was she ready? Was it a risk hiring an inexperienced coach to get this rising team to improve? The core of coach Gail’s teams were the strong defense. However, this year’s team has taken a big step backwards on defense. The scheme changed and the players look out of place and there have been no changes. The defenders need to stop trying to run the ball end to end setup a simple ladder to pass the ball on clears… these girls are tired. You have bench depth that is not used with the same girls playing middie on both sides of the ball and by the 3rd/4th quarters are worn out and it shows when they can’t cover their cutters. Coach Gail had a nice 3 girl rotation that kept them fresh. However, current coaches dont adapt and it’s cost them 2 SAC games. The offense is stagnant. There is zero off ball movement and a few ball hogs who shoot from mars, with each of them turning the ball over 5-6 times a game and nothing is done about it. Turnovers and the draw are killing this team. They rank at the bottom in D2 in draws and no changes have been made. Without ball possession it’s always an uphill battle. The team is loaded with talent to have 2 rotations on offense but they are not being utilized correctly and there are some girls are playing out of position. I wish this coach the best but she is over her head for a program that was knocking on the door of NCAAs. It’s now a middle of the SAC team. "

"Nicole genuinely cares about all of her players not just the top scorers. She makes herself available and works toward building a positive team culture. She is honest when you ask for an evaluation and doesn’t tell you what you want to hear like the previous head coach. Give the opponent it’s the team will exceed expectations due to the positivity Nicole brings to the team. "
