"Ok guy in general, would be a better coach if more focused on the program rather than personal ego. Lacks a deep knowledge of track and field and struggles to develop high performing athletes to meet their full potential. Most high performing athletes tend to quit, transfer, or get injured.
Supporting staff hired on is typically adequate for a D3 program. However, in my time at Wittenberg any supporting staff that questioned, or constructively critiqued coach Paris' authority were met with friction/abrasion. The coaching staff did not feel aligned or collaborative.
Student athletes at Wittenberg want to be their best selves and give their all to the program. A head coach that promotes and invests in this attitude will see success. Head Coach Paris Hilliard has a lot of work to do to reach this programs full potential and have consistent national appearances and national championships that a school with indoor facilities like Wittenberg should be achieving"
