My son has shared more than one story how Phil has mentored players honestly in life as well as lax. His ability as a coach can be seen in the offensive statistics, and how evenly the scoring is distributed. This is a coaching staff that you want shaping the man your son is becoming. And as any parent knows, thru adversity comes some of our best achievements even even it is hard watching your son stumble. "

"Phil Havira a great lacrosse coach but he is more than that for Centre lacrosse. Phil is there for the players, when the going gets tough he is who you go to for help. He can be hard on players but is to push them to get better. One of the "tags" is players coach and I think this perfectly fits Phil. He wants to be close with the players, get to know them on a deeper level and look out for their best interests. During my time at Centre we had our fair share of back and forth in the film room or on the sideline but no matter what, he always took into consideration what I was saying. He made me feel heard and it was more of a conversation than an argument. Phil is the definition of a players coach and he is the glue that keeps everything together both on and off the field. My college experience would not have been half as good without Phil there by my side."
