"im done playing for him and my life has been way better now. being a student athlete is hard alone and he doesn’t care to recognize any of your accomplishments or problems outside of volleyball. he only cares about the same 4 people he likes, perfect volleyball and winning. its toxic to spend every day with someone who doesnt really care about you. "
"Ryan has his favorites and doesn’t work on team culture. No one says good job or gives high fives at practices. Tells girls what they want to hear but he knows the game. UMSL has 0 campus life and the girls on the team do not help. Team has a lot of drama especially around “invites”. Most girls end up transferring because of how cliquey the team is, his favorites show, and it feels like a community college. "
"He picks a lineup and keeps it; there is no B team/subbing when killing a team. Your only shot of playing is in preseason tournaments. If you’re a transfer, you don’t really have a shot unless you play for him at least a year/were a D1 athlete. He overrecruits, so players end up losing hope and end up transferring out/quitting. He doesn’t know how to make you better. He can only keep you at your 18’s year level. UMSL is a commuter school, so there is no campus atmosphere. As an athlete, you have to live in Mansion Hills, which is filled with mold and leaky ceilings. You want to party with your team? You better have a fake because they’ll leave your ass behind. "
