"Samantha Jones is not suitable to coach softball, let alone division 1 softball. The culture she brought, continues to bring is completely dreadful and miserable. She doesn’t know how to properly, professionally coach. She constantly screams, cries and be negative to all players. There has been times where she brings her kids to her division 1 practices and failed to conduct a professional, important practices. She has questionably violated many NCAA rules regarding recruiting, practicing and team money and team meals. School gives the softball players money for away games and for games/practices while on break and she takes all the money instead of allowing the players to receive the money so they can eat themselves. She tortures them with the amount of food she “buys” and allows them to have. She has made that softball program a disaster (hence her win/lose record since she’s been there) and the players simply do not enjoy playing softball anymore. The president and athletic director of morehead state won’t listen to anyone about her inability to coach. She honestly doesn’t have the mental capacity to be a good, professional coach. Something needs to be done. "

"This coach has destroyed the passion and love for the game from every player she “coaches” and I use that word loosely. She doesn’t care about the girls only her best interest in mind. She barely comes to practice and doesn’t elicit extra hitting/batting practice from the girls (the girls get together themselves). The environment she produces is toxic and very degrading upon the girls. She puts them down but never builds them back up. This is not about playing time or winning/losing, this coach has taken what supposed to be a very memorable years of playing D1 collegiate softball and has ruined it. She buys reduced and clearanced out food she sticks in the cooler for the girls to eat versus having nutritional protein healthy foods for the girls. Let’s also not forget instead of giving them meals on the way home from games they have to eat out of vending machines. This can turn into a novel of sorts but I’ll keep it short and sweet and just say if you have any interest of coming to Morehead State to play softball wait until she’s gone!!! Which by the way is a great academic school and the campus itself is awesome but not this softball program while Samantha Jones is head coach. "

"1 star is too high of a rating for this woman!! If you commit to a program under this coach, decommitt now and RUN! Coach Jones is the most abusive coach I’ve ever met. She does not care about her team at all. She is too focused on her failing marriage and stays on the phone yelling at her husband up until game time. (Which is embarrassing) She knows nothing about pitching/catching etc but yet she gives private lessons on MSU campus during season and lies to her assistants/team and says she has a meeting. She also cancels team practices in order to go give lessons to students from out in town using the MSU Eagle Center, for her own benefit. (NCAA violation!) How she was ever hired as a coach still shocks me, this woman is a miserable human who sucks the life and love out of everyone she meets, she needs to step down from softball and work on herself, that alone would be a full time job. She seriously needs mental health intervention!! "

"This coach is a disgrace to college athletics. She is verbally and mentally abusive. She is the sole toxic cancer of the MSU softball program. Does not show up to practices to help her team while in season. There are many questions as to where a lot of the money for the program is because it is not used on the players. The parents pay for the teams meals when traveling.. the list is a mile long. This woman needs to be fired asap."
