"Sonia Curvelo is not a players coach. Her main drive is winning a conference title but she has a difficult time inspiring or developing her team. She'll pit players against each other to try and get a desired result out of one person at the expense of another. Like most coaches, she has her favorites and does not put her best 11 on the field. Her skilled players are often on the sidelines in favor of speed - even if the speedy players don't have a good first touch or keep the ball inbounds. Her assistant coaches do not have a say in anything so don't be fooled if she has a nice or personable one charm you. If you go on a visit, just go with your gut. She is not a caring or respectful person so if that is what you need in a coach, her program is probably not the one for you. "
