"I was a JUCO transfer for the 2020-2021 baseball season and it was not an enjoyable experience. I was hesitant on going back to DSU the following year but ended up going back for the 2022-2023 season which ended up being my final collegiate season. The 2022-2023 season happened to be Coach Baughan’s first year coaching, he replaced the coach that almost ruined baseball for me the year before. He made a huge difference as far as being tough on us when we needed it and also being personable. The last thing I told him on the baseball field was “thanks for making my last year great” I meant a lot by that, it meant that regardless of winning or losing it was enjoyable and we were more competitive as a team compared to the year prior. I really enjoyed the one year I had with Coach Baughan and we still keep in contact to this day. "
"This coach is the reason I’m still playing college baseball. If he didn’t come in when he did I wouldn’t be playing anymore. I owe him so much. He is a great person who has done so much for me. He is the most knowledgeable hitting coach I’ve played for. He cares so much about winning and isn’t afraid to push you to win. He wants the best out of you and expects you to give it. "
