"Worst 1.5 years of My life playing under this guy. What a joke. The review the other former player of his spells it out perfectly. He’s a liar and people pleaser to the fullest extent and is donation driven when it comes to he decides to play. Murphy ruins every program he touches. He’s a clown coach and a clown of a man can’t wait to watch him fail."

"It is evident that Coach Murphy lacks the hallmarks of leadership. His approach to coaching has demonstrated a one-way aggressive doctrine of yelling and berating of his players. He is NOT a mentor and does not build up the confidence of his players. Those that he favors are rewarded for their bad play by allowing them to continue playing even after making the same mistakes repeatedly. Perhaps he lacks knowledge or the capability to demonstrate how to clear the ball from the zone as this certainly is an area of weakness for the team. Additionally, repeated wild off-net shots that result in frequent turn overs handicaps the team’s ability to maintain possession resulting in a lack of scoring opportunities. The lack of a cohesive offense plan is evident as one-handed individual players attempt to dodge multiple players without successfully passing and effectively moving the ball like a team. He continually runs the same players over and over, failing to utilize fresh legs and talent that sits on the sidelines even when the team gets annihilated! Any good coach would understand that that this would be an excellent opportunity to test the mettle of their bench strength and depth. If a player never sees the field, you never know how they will perform under the lights and pressure. I believe Tom Brady can speak to that! If Curry College is serious about having a successful men’s lacrosse program, where the players are mentored and prepared for victory on and off the field, then I think it’s time for a coaching change!"
