"It took me a few years to write this, but Coach Moloney was a good coach. He was a little disorganized at times (we often wouldn't have a plan for practice or competition until the last minutes), he made us better by recruiting good guys and showing good technique. One thing I will say that won't show him in a good light, is that he clashed with guys on the team who were not all that mature at that time. Coach had expectations for what a college wrestler and a college wrestling team should be, but a lot of guys talked about high school and who they were before they came to Cal. A lot of us were pretty mean to him then. Looking back (after transferring to another school when the program was dropped), he was a good coach who knows the sport and was trying to do most of it by himself. I wish him luck."
