"Coach Soly is the first coach I've played for that is passionate for us as players to have a say in our performance as he fosters independence over dependency . He compares it to being accountable in our everyday life, not looking for excuses rather looking for insight. He asks us for input rather than criticizing or being critical. I've played for many coaches that want you to "Buy into" thier systems and run their plays etc. where coach Soly embraces adaptability, gives us a baseline, and wants us to build our teams system of play. When he recruited me, I asked him what offense he liked, his reply was "the one my players can execute, that depends on whos on my roster" He is compassionate yet firm, and his door has always been open to all. His motto "Trust & Control" brought a very diverse group of young women together and he applied that motto to most things we did in a team and individual setting on or off the court. I feel the compassion Coach shows to us truly says he sees us as his own kids. He supports us like an extension of his own family coming to life events during and well after our playing days. "
