Poor Communication
" 48-0 in 2025….. you needed to see the majority of the competition played in 2025 to understand this review. I would still discourage playing here. If you’re considering joining this college softball program, think twice – or better yet, run far away. The head coach is a complete disaster, embodying everything wrong with poor leadership in sports. She’s selfish and uncaring, prioritizing her own ego over the well-being of her players and staff. Communication? Nonexistent. Expect vague instructions, mixed signals, and zero feedback unless it’s to tear you down. Worse still, she’s a habitual liar, making promises about playing time, development, and support that never materialize. Her verbal abuse is rampant – belittling comments, and outright humiliation in front of the team. It’s not “tough love”; it’s toxic. And if she gets jealous of a player’s talent or potential? Watch out. She’ll punish them with bench time, extra drills, or isolation, all to stroke her own insecurities. This stems from having to live in her sister’s shadow, a former all-American ….. Don’t be fooled by the program’s reputation. She has zero real coaching ability and is blatantly riding the coattails of the previous coach who built this success from the ground up. The recruiter pulls in good talent based on that legacy, not her skills. She’s just coasting, and to those who know the game, it shows. To be in the lineup players MUST hit home runs. That’s her whole focus. Mediocre and lazy defense is acceptable as long as the long ball is hit. Forget hitting for average. Home runs or you’re benched. Her favorites can go 0-4 make error after error game after game and they stay in the lineup. She likes mean girls and tries to fit in like one of the girls. Caddy and condescending conversations within earshot of parents and players. The harm she’s caused is irreversible. Mental health takes a nosedive here; anxiety, depression, and burnout are the norm. So many players leave after these two years, sometimes before the season starts. Their love for the game shattered, and they never play at a higher level because they’ve been beaten down so badly. This isn’t coaching; it’s destruction. Even those that play regularly do not like her. They tolerate her. Prospective players: This is all a facade. Save yourself the trauma and go elsewhere IF you want to play the game the way it should be played, develop for the next level and have assistance getting there. She doesn’t care about you or your future, only her’s. "
