"I absolutely loved every aspect of going to EvCC, except for Whitney. Her practices are very repetitive and she doesn’t fully know the sport. Getting recruited by her you will think she is so nice and cares about you. The reality is she will pick one outside and one setter to care about and the rest of you don’t matter. She will do multiple one on ones with them and the rest of you to do drills for the season. She also does not make a healthy environment. There were multiple times our team had small disagreements that turned into culture changing catastrophes because she would never address them or would address them the wrong way. In fact she would ignore them and you by not coming to practice or just meeting with her favorites to figure out the problem. In fact it got so bad that our AD had to be brought in and when he asked what the problem was most of the team said Whitney and she declined everything we said saying it either didn’t happen or we were wrong. In my two years she turned two teams that started off really liking each other and having very successful seasons to two teams that all hate each other and lost every game by the end. I still talk to three of my teammates and am on good terms with three others, and the rest I am no longer on speaking terms with because of the drama Whitney created surrounding me. I came to her about a private matter I was having around my mental health and she completely manipulated the story and told my teammates about our whole meeting and I know this wasn’t the first time a thing like that had happened. She will give you empty promises and unrealistic goals that she will not help you meet. Anything you tell her in private will also circulate the team in about 24 hours as well. Everett is a great school with great people but Whitney single-handedly ruined my experience. "
