"On first glance, Tucker coliseum is impressive. It's huge but when you spend some time on campus and attend basketball games or volleyball games, you quickly realize the downfall of the place. The fan seating is so far removed from the gym floor that athletes cannot hear you cheer for them or feed off fan energy. Unfortunately, this past season both basketball teams had trouble getting fans to come and support them at games. ATU does realize the downfall of the fans being so removed from the floor so they set up chairs on the floor for their alumni or green and gold members to sit to try and produce some excitement. However, it's just not working. I think the football games have more energy but both basketball and volleyball struggle. Tucker is impressive but what difference does it make to have such a huge facility to go play in when the majority of the stands are empty. I am estimating that only 25% of the seats are occupied during games and I feel that it's depressing, especially athletes. "
