"Very nice and caring guy but when it comes to coaching he is extremely stale. Progressing with him as a coach is highly difficult due to his broad coaching points that never directly help or fix any problem. If you're looking for a guy that can identify a problem he is your guy but as far as fixing that problem he struggles relaying the information he knows into fixing problems. All in all he is a really nice guy that wants you to do well and will cheer and support you, but I don't see any of his coaching points taking anyone to that next level."
"Coach Conklin is a mediocre coach at best. I do not mean this in a completely negative way, it is fully honest. He is very knowledgeable about throwing and very good at it, but he has no business teaching nor coaching others. His practice plans aren’t great, his lifts are terrible, and he doesn’t motivate his team very well nor communicate with them. I have never felt motivated or ready or excited for a meet with him as a coach. He does the bare minimum and calls it job well done. If you think of throwing as more of a hobby and want a more laid back coach who doesn’t care much about grades, missing practices, being late, etc, he is a great coach for you. But if you see throwing as something you want to be amazing at, I’d consider going elsewhere. With coach jared, you’ll be alright. With another, better coach, you’ll be great."
"Jake Maas is a coach that pulls the best out of every player. His main focus is helping everyone on the roster become the best version of themselves and the best teammate they can be, so that the team can reach their potential together. Is his short time as head coach, he has reinvented the Albion Golf program into a destination top players should want to be part of. "
"I developed severe depression playing under this coach. I was not supported in my school endeavors and was encouraged to find an easier major so I could spend more time playing soccer. I was told he would never want me to play on the field despite his other coaches trying to convince him otherwise. "
"Where to start… he has is a poor communicator, you will never truly know where you stand on the team. he gives playing time to older players even if they aren’t as good, he refuses to change startling lineup to give other girls a chance even if we are losing badly, he predetermines who is going to sub in and at what minute which means if certain girls are playing really well but he already decided they are going to come out at the 15 minute mark then he subs them out anyway which ruins the game flow, the out of season conditioning we do is excessive any many girls get hurt, and is just not a competent coach for soccer "
"Poor at communication and does not have a growth mindset regarding players improvement/on field action. Ex: will take out a player that is playing the best on the field over one that is not having their best game. But overall he is a nice man that means well. "
