"Talks down on athletes. Will treat you like a child and talk to you as if you have never run a day in your life. Works at Alvernia now and ruined the teams culture. Worst coach I have ever had in any sport. Also brings his kid to practice and is horrible towards him. Has ridiculous rules. Says that he wants to listen to athletes because it is “our team” yet anytime anyone goes to him with anything he immediately turns us down. Would not recommend joining a team with him as the coach unless you want to hate the sport and quit within a year."
"This coach has no control over her emotions. She is disrespectful to the players. Makes constant counter productive statements to her athletes. Has no ability to build unity on her team. Has no long term vision to unite the players around. Everything is just win now or else. Too much drama. Has no business coaching. Needs counseling . "
"Coach Khanh is a great coach really focus on the technical side of the sport. He is all about the fundamentals and perfecting that in order to move forward. Many of his drills are based on touches and connecting passes through patterns. He is a great coach because each day he brings a different drill that does have the same goal as the others but you do not get tired of doing what you’re doing because you are doing something different each day. He is very easy to talk to as a coach and if you need help with anything he is very approachable and will give you the honest truth on what you need to do to improve. Overall he’s a great coach. "
"He is a players coach. Knows how to get the best out of you and always has the TEAM goal in mind and his first priority. No player is ever bigger than the program. All around awesome coach, would love to play one more game for him. "
"Genuine and hard-working, coach Malone doesn't lay off the gas pedal when it comes to supporting his players and designing strategies that enable his team to utilize their strengths while attacking his opponents weaknesses."
"Coach Malone is not only a great coach but cares for every single one of his players. He only wants the best for them during their careers and in their future endeavors. "
"I committed to play volleyball at Albright in January of my senior year of high school and was immediately met with poor communication skills from the head (Poss) and assistant (Jones) coache. During preseason many players were met with disrespect from the first day of practice, before we had even stepped on the court. My mental health as a student-athlete was effected drastically and had given me a negative outlook on Albright before classes had even begun. I dreaded going to practice or even driving to campus, and found myself crying when I had to take my exit off the highway almost every day. There were many moments of unprofessional and inappropriate comments from the head (Poss) coach during my short time in the program; my food choices in the dining hall at team meals (dessert), my personal relationships (lack of a boyfriend), and the absolute dismissal of my concerns for my own mental well-being. I had a private meeting with the head (Poss) and assistant (Jones) coach, where I brought up my concerns about how she was effecting my mental health and that I felt there was more I needed to do for myself. Her response was to simply get medicated. While she had no prior knowledge of mental health, medication history, etc. All she was able to give me was get medicated and work it out. She blew off every concern I had worked so hard to be able to voice to her.
Since leaving Albright’s volleyball program, I’ve stayed in touch with friends on the team (many who have since left the program as well). Not a single young woman has had a successful experience. She’s questioned players sexuality, discriminated against players religious beliefs and practices, ran players to the point of asthma attacks and throwing up, and so much more.
I feel for anyone that has had to endure playing volleyball at Albright under Coach Poss."
