"He is disrespectful to his players. When he speaks to parents, he says that his door is open to have conversations about a players performance and play time but that's untrue. Players go to him to discuss how and where they need to improve so they get more playing time but he tells them they are doing all the right things but he likes them on the side lines. He has a large team but only puts his favorites on the field. He uses his side line players as the opposing team during practice and pays zero attention to any of them. He has no interest in any of the players except those he starts. He will play an injured starter before ever putting in anyone else. He refuses to speak to any of the players as they come off the field, except to make negative comments to them. He hides under the covered seating area, and rarely speaks except to yell at any mistakes they make. He talks about fitness being important and how it plays a role in how much play time you receive and that's also untrue. You can be in the top ten of performance for the beep test, and do better than your previous year but still stand on the sidelines. When asked what you are doing wrong that you don't get played, his comment is there is nothing you can do. No one should come to this college to play soccer until they replace him. His team can only make it to the first sectional game and then lose. It's been this way for a while. He needs to be replaced. Shame on the Athletic Director for not replacing him before. After my daughter was recruited I found out that many of the parents were unhappy with him and how he treats his athletes. My understanding was that he had been on probation but he still there treating his players with disrespect. "
"Worst coach ever. A real loser with a coaching record that proves it. Look at his stats. He is lacking knowledge along with a nonexistent game day strategy of play. Player/ team development never happens from year to year. He plays favorites, lacks positivity and cannot create team cohesiveness. Players quit or transfer because of his poor coaching abilities, lack of offensive/defensive strategies and his consistent talking down to the team. He is out -coached game after game, loss after loss. Shocking that the college has held on to him this long. He should have been fired years ago."
"has a losing record for a reason!! lots of talented players, doesnt matter- stuck in his ways with favorites, and an old school system he never changes. retire, do the beautiful game a favor. "
"Brian Striker is someone who I look up to. Not only is he an incredible coach, but he’s also a former All-American Alfred University swimmer. He’s someone who cares about swimming but also takes pride in the things we do outside of the pool. Alfred Swim and Dive is my family away from home and it’s safe to say that he’s the reason for my swim family. "
"The greatest...with some regret, our son chose elsewhere (they didn't have his major, only as a minor). So beloved by campus, everyone calls him "Papa T""
"Super nice guy but also extremely fake. Looks online/twitter for information on the sport because he doesn't know much about it. Big on hitting so doesn't care to work on defense as much (aka at all and just expects you to be able to field a ball). Has a hard time making tough decisions. "
