"Coach Carter is absolutely the best. When we were moving our son in his freshman year, we knew that he was in great hands with Coach Carter. He doesn’t JUST treat his players like family he adopted US, our whole family into the GS team. He is tough when he has to be but fair and he never wants to leave a player behind to go to a tournament. If there is a player that ever goes for a tour of the facilities or a “visit” as a prospective team member, I could never see why they would choose anywhere else. He is committed to his players and the players families in ways that are hard to understand. He just loves his team, the school, the game, the competition and it shows! "
"I spoke with Coach Stephens in regards to a prospective Student Athlete. Coach Stephens was direct about his Vision for the Program, and How this prospective Student Athlete would become an asset to Program and School Culture."
"I had high expectations from his first introduction…..unfortunately after seeing countless players being intimidated by him in front of other players and parents, I was quickly let down. "
"Does not know the game enough to be a head coach, constantly tells my son that the reason they are doing something or if someone questions his authority that he “is the coach” or passive aggressively belittles his athletes. "
"Coach Myhre was patient, kind, respectful, honest and informative throughout the recruiting process. She directed us through our financial responsibilities and helped us explore the soccer program in more depth. After a few ID camps, she scheduled a full itinerary for us to explore the school, academics and Chapel. We got to meet Professors, Counselors and Dean's. A lunch with the team and coach was a great surprise and s personal tour of campus and sports facility. We finished the day off with a discussion of finances, scholarship opportunities and majors to consider, so we can set up an academic and athletic plan. We felt at home immediately. "
"As an Alum and supporter of GS Golf I have had the privilege of working closely with Coach Carter since he became Head Coach. His players respect him and play hard for him."
"-Embodies an Extreme Ego that hinders his ability develop TEAM rapport and morale. This has caused a consistent pattern of turnover in the university's XC and Track & field program. Tends to become very petty and passive aggressive. Struggles with communication.
- Coach is good at coaching speed and jumps but lacks in coaching distance running. "
