"Unfortunately, the reality is that Nigel Bentley mistreats (some) players and raises his voice often. He is very unpredictable due to his short temper and is unable to foster a positive and motivated team environment. He is extremely unfit to lead or coach a D1 tennis team. BC knows this and can do so much better."

"If BC is recruiting you… RUN!!!! This woman loves to turn girls against each other on the team and feeds off of drama. Her motto “All in” is weaponize against the girls and if your life isnt 100% lacrosse 100% of the time she discards you. She does not support girls outside of college and will not help prepare you for your career. I can rattle off dozens of stories of how she has mentally tormenting girls - causing many to have SEVERE eating disorders, resorting to drugs to improve performance and lose weight after she called them overweight, and mentally abuse girls by telling them they are terrible people who will end up as failures. At least a dozen girls have gone to the AD about her but nothing was done bc they are a failing sport program and lacrosse is the only successful sport there. The environment she fosters is so toxic and middle school like. She has every single girl walking on eggshells at all times. I’ve never met someone as disorganized as her either and she makes every travel trip miserable. She will favorite the girls whose parents will donate to her program because she is so money hungry and egotistical. She is emotionally abusive and will constantly berate girls until their breaking point and then will give you a sliver of hope just to knock you down again. It does not matter of you are really good and work really hard she ALWAYS picks someone to tear down. One year during practices she would label the starters “BC strong” and any other girl was called “BC Weak” and she constantly used that term to your face. If you want your daughter to be happy and learn lessons from collegiate sports that will translate to her career, then RUN. If you want to constantly hear her cry on the phone and tell you how miserable she is then send her here because that is guaranteed. Yet this happens time and time again, and the AD is VERY well aware of it yet he covers it all up. Some day this case will break and it will be BU 2.0. "

"Let’s call this out clearly: targeting a player is a choice. Singling out an athlete for public humiliation, especially in front of their teammates, is a power play with malicious intent. This is Sarah Johnson. Don’t let her mousy exterior fool you. When a coach micromanages one individual, policing every movement, every word, every breath, it’s not constructive criticism, it’s spite. A program and a coaching staff that engages in and tolerates this kind of behavior is negligent. Passive-aggressive sabotage and psychological abuse violates established legal standards for educational environments, sports coaching, and professional conduct. It is a Title IX and Safe Sport violation. An athletes mental and physical health is the real cost of unchecked abuse of power and targeting. Sarah Johnson and the BCFH staff as a whole don’t apply the rules equally. Some players get to bypass the stated requirements (“don’t pass the run/beep test and you won’t start”) and others meet and exceed every “requirement” and are sidelined despite ability. The injustice is obvious to everyone. This is Sarah Johnson and the coaching staff at BC. This is why they can’t win despite talented players. There is no self-reflection among the staff, they never take responsibility, there are no adjustments, there is no positive communication. This is a socially inept and self-absorbed staff who don’t care about their players, want to get to know them, or understand them. Don’t ask legitimate questions or seek to learn, you will be punished or cease to exist. Players are miserable and so is Sarah Johnson, as a person and most especially as a coach. "

"Jason Kennedy's skill lies in his ability to manipulate the thoughts and emotions of people around him. I think he does it to create drama to fill the gaps of his lonely life. He does it by squirreling away personal info on players that he picks up during conversations. The player who gives up the most info, becomes his favorite, If you're the favorite informant today, he will eventually drop you. If you never divulge anything, he will target you harder for sport. It's like he lives to create chaos. If considering this program, don't. The trajectory of your life could depend on it. Contact players who used to play for him and transferred out or quit vball. They will help you get a real sense of the program. Don't rely on feedback from players he recommends you talk to. They can't be honest."

Pucks favorites mainly bc that is Jason Kennedy’s style. She will not have your back at all. Terrible on every level. Doesn’t care. Doesn’t even really coach. Mean. Very mean, miserable, unhappy person. Desperate woman. Does not help promote positive ANYTHING w the athletes. Pulls the same party line as Jason-pick the faves who rat people out and who kiss butt. Needs ego stroked. Terrible experience. DO NOT believe ANYTHING she or Jason tell you. Do NOT play for them. Terrible"

"If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely THE WORST on ALL levels. Terrible. Borderline diabolical. Picks favorites-the emotionally weak girls-to be moles for him and rewards them with play time. Awful person. Dishonest. Abusive. Not one redeeming quality. Could have gone to NCAA but chose not to bc having his faves stroke his ego is more important. Advice#1 do NOT play for him or go to BC to play volleyball #2 if you do-A LOT of butt kissing will go alonngggg way and have your family do the same and be the snitch-and you will be play. But you will be playing with a team of talented-but miserable girls-so you will never win. Totally pathetic. On the other side-the only thing that can help him is God and prayer. Don’t wanna think about judgement day for him. "
