"Carlos was a highlight of my time on the BSU track & field team. I wasn't originally a thrower, but injury led me to take a break from running and throwing became my home. I was instantly accepted by Coach and was given the attention and respect that I needed to learn about the events. He is a former D1 field athlete and is super knowledgeable about all throws, and gives really constructive and easy to understand feedback on form and conditioning needed to succeed. His conditioning is tough, but you can see that it works given the success of the throws team. His ability to build and maintain culture is something that really stands out for the team, and he was able to build relationships in the throws athletes that continued after practice and even after graduation. Carlos was an honor to work with and anyone who is looking to improve their throws should consider competing under him. "
"Very nice school. Liked the campus very much. There's a train stop on site. Coach willing to meet... that's where It ends. No useful information exchanged. Not very open minded to interested players, rather players he's interested in. "
"Gym and facilities are nice. Coach is Honest but seems to talk about past glory and not seeing what’s right in front of him. This school’s program should be so much stronger based on location and school size "
"Such a good coach! Really cares about his athletes in and out of the pool! Nothing better than loving the people you spend majority of your time with in college! "
"Coach Adams is a terrific coach and is the best in school history. In my years with him we have only had winning seasons and made it to our conference finals 3 years In a row."
"Dr Lamb is unfair and biased towards certain sports and athletes. While she really cares about the athletics at BSU and spreading a positive image of a rather successful program, she picks and chooses the battles she wants to fight based on what will look good for the school and the program, not what is best for the athletes. Bullying, sexual assault/harassment etc. will be overlooked if it will taint the name of the program or goes against the things on her agenda. Inconsistent discipline and consequences are given out, making it feel like a popularity contest rather than a DIII athletic program for athletes that aren't on the football or women's soccer/lacrosse teams. I love the program, but that administration needs some major upgrades and refinements, starting at the top. "
