"During my college visit.. she was very kind and down to earth. I thought she was going to be a great coach to learn from. I didn’t mind the 4am practices , or not having a locker room.. practice is held off campus at a local athletic training facility .
Communication is very poor. She would add extra practices day of.. when some girls couldn’t attend on the short notice practices- she would bench them for a game. She gave great feedback during coach to athlete meetings, and would say she was happy with my performance and there was nothing that she would have me do differently,, but then I Wouldn’t play for 4 or 5 games.
Struggles to recruit pitchers and outfielders, players are put in positions they never played before. A lot of girls quit. She took out a player that hit a homer on her first at bat (during a conference game) to put in one of her favorites? Assistant coaches often looked confused. Assistant coaches never talked negatively about her, but you could tell everyone was not on the same page.
I definitely feel I wasted a year of eligibility on a pretty disorganized mess.
