"Deeply disappointed in team culture and how Coach Neff treats freshman. Doesn’t know names, takes no interest in getting to know players. The upperclass team is abusive and Neff is either ignoring it or wants this toxic culture. High drug use on team and no discipline. "
"Ian is more on the stricter side of coaching, and people either love or hate him. If you like structure, (sometimes brutal) honesty, and growth, then you will get along with him. If you need a coach who’s more emotional, he’s not the guy for you. He does though care more behind the scenes. He’s there for you if you need him for sure. He’s not perfect but has had a tough couple of years. I expect his future years as a coach to be better."
"He is a fair coach and will be honest if you ask for it. However, the team culture got so bad that the team was suspended for two weeks due to “bullying” that was known about that was not stopped. He had lack of communication skills and is unemotional in many ways which confuses players."
"Coach Neff is a calm and easy to talk to guy whenever your hanging out, and he respects all the players. One the field he’s motivating all the players and trying to get the best out of us. Whenever we would huddle up after practice he would always complement a play that improved or did really good, and he would put anyone down for making mistakes he would just tell them what they would do to improve. He would always tell us we are family and we need to treat each other like family whenever we got mad at each other. Most memorable moment for Neff is every time there was a really bad call Neff would yell at the refs, and I me and a couple teammates would die laughing. "
"Coach Wollberg went back on his word on several occasions with regrard to playing time commitments. He has very high expectations when it comes to practices."
"He is extremely passionate about water polo and does not take his position as our coach for granted. He is super motivational and will do anything to make sure his players not only succeed in the pool but in life as well."
"This is our first year having him, so I've only been through the fall with him so far. He's very knowledgable, but definitely pushed our team to our breaking point; which made us stronger. He's very focused on fitness and stick work. Also very upfront about playing time and what people need to work on. Very brutally honest."
