"He is good at being a coach for the purpose of athlete development, but he does sometimes struggle with being personal. You need to be very clear and direct with him, but he will try to help you in the ways you need it. "

"WIldly unprofessional and immature as a coach. Left our team, stating she was pursuing a new career. Ironically, in the weeks and months to follow, she repeatedly texted players on the team, bad mouthing our head coach and our program. It was sad to see someone who claimed to be a mentor and leader acting like a middle school drama queen. Three college assistant jobs in three years says it all."
"Creates an environment of fear rather than belief in her players, extremely inconsistent, has MAJOR favorites based on personal relationships, very poor communication, lack of soccer IQ, wants to sick to old school ways, extremely disorganized "
"Was an amazing player herself and is an incredible coach. I've known her for over 30 years, first as my coach, then as a friend. She started the program at Carnegie Mellon, went on to be the winningest coach in Princeton history and is back at her alma mater, W&M. She is tough but fair, cares about her players, and knows the game in and out. I don't know a soul who didn't love playing for her."
"Colby is the most knowledgeable coach I’ve ever swum with and he is intentional with every aspect of the sport. This approach leads to great success! More importantly, however, is how much he cares for us apart from swimming."
"He always brings the energy on deck and is truly makes himself part of the team. He’s a great leader and extremely motivational. Truly invested in his athletes and works hard to see them improve. Overall an incredible coach to have on deck and an essential part of our team culture."
"Only cared about herself. Tried to force us to kneel for the national anthem when half the team had family in the army and Air Force. If you didn’t agree with what she wanted to do outside of the game then you would not see any play time when game time did come around. "
"I was able to connect with Coach Bourdage during my recruiting process and I was very pleased with his responsiveness and reaching out to help with anything related to soccer at W&M. "
"Tess lights up a room with her kindness always goes the extra mile to make sure all her players feel heard and welcome on the team. She has been in the field hockey world for so long that she has a lot of techniques and tactics to pass on to her players. Best coach even better person. "
"I love Tess Ellis, there is no one I would rather play hockey for and under. She is like a second mother to the team and cares about you as an individual way more than a player."
"Matt has so far made a great impression on the team. He's made it his mission to improve technique while at the same time appropriately training swimmers to their strengths. I've never felt more in shape and have been swimming much faster than I have in the past."
"Matt Crispino is a great coach. He really does motivate us in and out of the water, but in a very uplifting way. Everything we do has a purpose and he always makes sure we see that. He is also very understanding to illness, injury, and school work. I have absolutely loved having him as my coach. "
"I have the utmost respect for Coach Crispino. He is one of the most intelligent people I know, and I thoroughly enjoy being with him on and off the pool deck. Our team has faced a lot of diversity recently, and there is nobody I'd rather have steering the ship."
"Matt Crispino is a great coach. This year we had a saying, "get better everyday." When he told us this, he said that we need to not only get better as a swimmer everyday but as a student, as a person, as a friend, and in all aspects of you life. That is how I would describe Matt, he wants us to be the best we can be, in and out of the pool."
"Horrible communicator. Struggles immensely with any kind of confrontation. Poor decision making skills. Extreme favoritism towards whatever swimmers are performing better at any given time. Pouts & refuses to talk to athletes when the team isn't doing as well as he anticipated. Tends to focus on the negatives when reflecting on meets. Unmotivating. Cusses swimmers out when he's in a bad mood."
