"Coach Schroeder has an impressive resume on paper as both a player and a coach. Unfortunately, it does not translate to being a successful coach and mentor on the field. Schroeder lacks interpersonal skills that can help her build relationships with her players. She has no positive influence on the morale of her team and often lets "mean girl" tactics go unchecked. As a result, it is rare that the team actually comes together in spirit. She carries a heavy roster (20+ players) and makes false promises of "giving everyone a chance". She does not. If you are not one of her favorites, you will likely never see the dirt. This is not related to class, she will keep players on the roster that never play regardless of being a first, second or third year. She will make up her mind about her players early on in the Fall season in their first year and it will be very hard, if not impossible, for a player to come out of that box with hard work, progression and effort. She will give her brutal, honest truth to players to the point of rudeness, eliminating any shred of hope for playtime. This begs the question, why take on players to the team that you do not want there? The purpose of being a JUNIOR COLLEGE coach is to help players get placed at a FOUR YEAR institution to play ball. This is not the staff's approach to running their team. Instead, they treat it as if every game is D1 level World Series. Even if there is a significant lead or they are playing a less talented team, the bench riders still don't get a shot. Schroeder, in the off chance you are reading this: everyone likes to win, but you are destroying the love of the game for many girls. Change your approach, it isn't working. Reduce your roster and do these girls a favor by cutting girls that you have NO INTENTION of ever playing. Get control of the EGREGIOUS mean girl attitudes, bullying and out casting of players. Be a BETTER female role model that players WANT to play for! Use your experience as a player at UCLA to be a better version of you, because this version just ain't the jam. Your reputation depends on it."
"Cesar was a good coach overall, but there were times when he would not completely communicate to his players and bring them down because they did not follow his direction. There was also favoritism towards some players. Make sure you are in soccer shape and run a lot in preparation for his trainings. "
"Coach Josh was always there to talk to when I did not feel comfortable talking to my head coach Cesar. He brought a high level of motivation to the atmosphere and I am grateful he was my coach for 2 years at CRC. "
