"I wouldn’t recommend going to this team, has success in cross country but nothing ever translates to track. Definitely makes track feel like a horrendous waste of time and questions your sanity’s. "
"Has the characteristics to be a great coach, athletes performances on the track are significantly underwhelming in comparison to their current fitness. If he can get significantly more promising performances out of his athletes. I strongly believe he could be one of the best coaches in the NCAA.
Furthermore, Daemen lacks the resources to be viewed as a "rather considerable" program in not just xc/track but in all sports. If this situation changes we could expect stronger results amongst athletes. "
"Does not care for individual athletes. Does not care if you have other things going on in life such as school and personal life. Would never recommend. "
"One of the best coaches I have ever had. He took a chance on me when I was really bad and made me an all-conference level runner. Being the head coach for 3 D2 college seasons means he has to put up with a lot of unnecessary BS but he is still able to make the team grow athletically and cohesively each year. He gives each of his athletes all the tools to be successful, if they are not successful it is because they did not hold themselves accountable and put the work in. Biggest thing: he puts a huge focus on track and CC being a team sport. "
"Great coach overall. Will be extremely helpful to you IF you take care of yourself and actually do the things you’re supposed to do for yourself. Will push you to do better for yourself and also gives great advice/perspective on recovery from injuries and injury prevention."
"A lot of my mistakes were attributed to internal reasons instead of physical corrections I could make. Active at practice but in games seemed checked out and let assistant coach take charge. Unsure where I stood because each conversation seemed different sometimes contradicting the previous and led me to feel confused. Felt she gave up on me"
