"Loved the team so much. It was a great group of girls and even the older girls were so nice. Campus is amazing. Didnt have much time with coach but she was good about email communciation"
"I didn't get to spend a ton of time with the team but when i did i loved them. Super down to earth girls that love lax made even going to a class exciting"
"I didn’t spend the night with the team because of a game but I went to class and lived an average day of a student at Fairfield. Classes were engaging and the girls seemed super nice. Helped make my choice "
"Super great person and couldn’t ask for someone better. A bit too much soemtimes though and cares that we’re in shape but it benefits us in the long run "
"The varsity resources are unmacthed, they gym has everything for athletes and when you can access the varsity gyms, the general student gym is the best too. Have enough of everything to make sure you are not over crowed. Our field is also in perfect condition and its always exciting when we get to show other schools just how sick it is."
"on my over night I stayed with two girls on the team and they were amazing, a few recruits were visiting that weekend and they made each of us feel special in one way or another. you could tell how much they loved their school and team. this was my deciding factor in choosing to play at Fairfield. i could not turn down such a fun team"
"Corey really cares about her players and does her best to adapt her style of coaching/method of communication to most properly suit her players’ needs. She is very in tune with the mental health and wellness of her team, and will never hesitate to be there for you in a time of need. "
"- Not accessible
- Passive aggressive
- Cares about winning because its "his lively hood" and uses that and fear to motivate us
- Every practice is the same"
"When you're dealing with a varsity coach who is a men's and women's coach it's difficult enough as is. You have twice as many people to coach, and one team ends up suffering more than the other."
"You can't challenge him on anything otherwise he doesn't like you. Even if you are right, it doesn't matter to him. Ego is too big to be able to coach a successful team."
"He talks about having a "low drama" team on his twitter and in practice but is the first one to bring up all of his personal life drama into the gym. How does one preach to leave all personal drama and stress off the court but bring all of his into the court and into our lives? Hypocrisy. "
"The fact that he is called a D1 head basketball coach is disrespectful to the game. From experience, he is 100% NOT capable and NOT focused on winning. He is never straight up and will only listen to you IF its what he wants to hear. He blames you even if it is clearly not your fault, in a way that mentally exhausts the athlete.10/10 DONT recommend"
"Worst coach I have ever played for in my entire life. I have never met anyone more insecure in my life. He expresses his insecurities throughout the way he plays mind games with his athletes. He expresses favoritism where it shouldnt be expressed. Irrational, fake, not caring, DO NOT judge him by first impression. He is the complete opposite; fake."
"The worst coach I have ever played for, has destroyed my love for the game. He has mentally tried to tear me down on countless times and attempts to use his dominance over his players season after season."
"Expresses extreme amounts of favoritism. Does not play players according to talent, ability or production. Sticks to one game plan and will not change, even if it isn't working. Does not value his players. Very one-track minded and it is not on winning."
"Doesn't play the best players. Brings too much to the court that has nothing to do with college basketball. Has kicked off over 8 players/ had multiple people transfer because of him. Has had losing seasons since he has been there and it makes it seem like BC doesn't care about women's basketball because they haven't made any changes. "
"Very knowledgeable about the different components a student athlete has to balance and is therefore understanding to the tribulations that we face. Can at times play favorites with playing time but in most instances, the favorite player does help the team win and succeed."
"Outside of practice/basketball Coach Frager was very nice and friendly person. During practice/games I was quite fearful of Coach Frager and I would often feel anxious or sick before training that I wouldn't perform well. This may not have been Coach Frager's fault, perhaps because I was a European player I wasn't accustomed to this type of coach and I should have been tougher."
"I will say from my experience here, he deals more with his players based on what he wants them to be and takes a long time for him to realize other external factors that might be affecting a player"
"She is great, but honestly you have to know what you are getting yourself into. It's not all she hypes it up to be. Practices focus mainly on distance (even for sprinters) with limited weight room visits a week. We do a lot of underwater work as well. She's very easily going when you talk to her one on one, but on the pool deck she is a whole new person. It's kind shocking come practice and you realize that it's not what you expected. But in the long run she gets results."
"As a walk-on member of this team, my coach was always supportive. I, along with a majority of my team, was previously uneducated on the sport as it is not offered in most high schools. My coach is strongly motivated by winning and will do all he can to get us ready to do so. Personally, I am involved in many extra-curricular activities throughout campus and have gotten a lot of recognition and praise from my coach for doing so instead of him asking me to just focus on a sport."
"Absolutely loved playing for Julie Brzezinski and for Fairfield. Wouldn't have changed anything about my four-year experience, and would highly recommend the program to anyone currently in the recruiting process."
