"Kelly Evans is by far the worst coach I have ever had. She is tyrannical, manipulative, and toxic. She never sticks to her word; in fact, her MO is to just deny that a conversation even happened. She has huge mean girl energy and pits girls against each other. She ignores data, plays favorites, and builds slow lineups. She has no technical rowing background, and she can’t create an effective training plan to save her life. When you offer feedback, suggestions, or any kind of advice, she feels threatened - and makes you pay for it. She isolates athletes who dare to speak up for themselves and their teammates and publicly shames them. This must be because she knows, deep down, that she is extremely unqualified for her job. And yet, she has no desire to grow for the sake of the team. I don’t really think she cares about the women’s team, anyway. She treats her job like a fun hobby she gets to do with her best friends and husband and doesn’t think, or really even care, about the impact that her decisions and behavior have on her athletes’ lives. She has broken so many remarkable athletes in her wake, and it is sad. She is sad. Hopefully she is on the way out so the next generation can stand a chance."
"Worst experience ever with a coach. Do not go to Harvard to row for Radcliffe until they replace Kelly Evans. I cannot stress enough that she did not know what she is doing. She made my four years at Harvard completely disappointing. Rowing used to be such a huge part of my life, and I really looked forward to a real college rowing experience. It was an experience … just not a good one. Athletes quitting, getting injured, pitted against each other. Lineup decisions made with her favorites. Training was horrible. Race plans were nonexistent. The whole thing was toxic because of her and because Liz let her run the show. We could never figure figure out how she got the job. She didn’t even seem interested in doing it or getting better. What a waste. It felt like she actually disliked us. Unprofessional."
"She lied to me when i was a player in her team, she was never honest and most of the team ended up quitting after one or two years of playing for her."
"Very understanding, looks out for all of his players. Coach Murphy is a big reason why Harvard football is a family culture, all while being a tough motivational coach as well."
"I like how dedicated and how much soul coach Green puts into helping the team get better and stronger. Having someone genuinely care so much about you is truly motivational."

"Coach Mel is young and really excited about growing the college game. She’s done a great job reinforcing/establishing a strong team culture. Can have very high expectations in a group setting, but one on one she’s very kind and caring."
"An extremely passionate and highly educated Football Coach with a record to prove it. He lives and breathes Football, just like all of the Football coaches at Harvard. I am truly blessed to have a coach like Coach Murphy to guide me throughout my college career. "
"While the program is quite successful it is not the fruits of Jason. Think deeply about the culture you want in your college track experience because Jason is off-putting, will say anything to cover himself, and ultimately knows very little about track and field."
"Great coach, very honest and straightforward in recruruiting process, extremely knowledgeable about game, fantastic practice and game coach. Demands top level out of players, extremely respected throughout team"
"Tommy Amaker is definitely a knowledgeable that has your best interest at heart. However, certain interactions do not feel genuine. He tends to give off a very impersonal vibe at times. "
"She's incredibly kind and cares about each rower and how we are doing inside and outside of the boathouse. It's nice to have someone who is looking out for our interests as a student-athlete and not just as a rower. "
"Main reason I decided to attend Tufts. He completely revamped the program and was not afraid to play younger guys. The first year he had a team full of his own recruits (Fall 2014) we won the National Championship."
"Very good coach. Heavy focus on defensive play, less focused on offensive. Demands a high standard, just like any division I coach will. Former triathlon/marathon runner, incorporates a lot of internal dialogue and self-talk mechanisms to improve each players ability to push themselves further"
