"This coach is a perfect example of just because you play college field hockey does not mean you should coach college field hockey. While she had a pretty good first season as head coach because of one recruit, it went downhill from there. In hindsight I think that is because she just does not have the tools to be an effective coach. So many instances of lack of communication with players. Not giving feedback after a shift, good or bad. Saying the exact same thing to players in private meetings, so not giving individual criticisms based on skills. Not changing the game plan during a game when the set plan was obviously not working. Not giving feedback to the team after games on what went wrong and what went right. She always had the players speak to this when clearly the players needed their coach to be a coach. The worst was when she decided to get married in season and miss/change practises to accommodate her wedding schedule. I don't think she's a bad person. I do think that this is not her calling. There should be mandatory coaching clinics for coaches to attend in the off season. "

"I have not picked up a stick since I played for Kyle, she truly ruins any confidence you have as a player and person. In my VERY first meeting with her she asked me how I had made a certain team because she said she “didn’t see anything special in me” (she was NOT the coach who recruited me and NOT who I agreed to play for).Her jealously and hatefulness only grew as I got to know her, for myself and others. She rode the bench in college and has a vendetta against any American player with true talent because it’s something she could never obtain. She has very little knowledge on the game of field hockey and how it should be played even less knowledge on how to be a decent human being. She also will create a terrible team culture by pitting athletes against each other, causing you to resent your own teammates.I hope she is never allowed to step foot into a coaching job again. "

"I played for Kyle, and I can honestly say she was not only a terrible coach but also an incredibly harmful person to be around. She consistently put players down instead of building them up. Rather than supporting young girls who were clearly struggling, she seemed to take pride in breaking their confidence. The mental games and bullying went far beyond field hockey. During my time on the team, I watched close friends become severely depressed, anxious, and even suicidal as a result of her ongoing behavior. Many girls felt they had no choice but to transfer schools or quit the sport entirely just to protect their mental health. No athlete should ever feel that way because of a coach. Her impact was deeply damaging. I worked with a therapist for years. No one in a position of authority over young athletes should cause that kind of harm. She should not be allowed to coach, teach, or work with young girls ever again. "

"I played for Kyle. When Kent beat Ohio State, she bought us donuts as a gift, little did we know we would have the hardest practice of the season for the sole point of us throwing up if we ate the donuts. It was a torture game rather than a team atmosphere. She also had an affair with another D1 coach who was fired and got his wife deported because of it. Glad she was fired and hopefully never gets to coach a team again."

"Kyle is downgrading and the worst coach I have ever had to experience. Kyle does not care about your health, feelings, or anything about you as a person. She will lie to get you to go to her school and only care for international players. And oh yeah, shes probably having an affair with another coach from a different school..."

Many of us struggle with anxiety and trauma from the consistent bullying we experienced day in and day out from Kyle and other members of the coaching staff. She does not care about anyone except herself and cares more about how she looks/what she’s wearing than her players well being. Myself and many others do not even play anymore because she took everything that we loved about the sport and crushed it. "

"Not caring, not fair, divides the team, treats them like little kids when they are adults. Likes to talk about the mental aspect of the game, but seldom practices what she preaches. Only pays attention to the players that fit her narrative, uses those players to report on other players as she turns them against each other. She tells her players that they will have opportunities to prove themselves, only not to play them and further crush their confidence. "
