"Coach Rob Herb is a fine teacher. His teaching skills, in the broad realm of swimming, are examples of development for other course professors at the academy."
"Out of all the ID camps I have attended, only Lehigh never answered my multiple follow up emails. While not wanting to recruit me is fine, they were by far the least professional program I dealt with in 2 years of recruiting. Stay away from their ID camps. No feedback, no reply. Clearly just a money grab."
"She doesn't even know your name if you're not in her event group- why is she a head coach? Take the time to learn about your athletes if you want to be trusted. She has no plan for the team. This is for the WOMEN'S TEAM too...but you can only select "men's""
"The worst coach out there. I don't even want to spend more time on this review than I have to, because I already wasted enough time with her in my life. Just horrible. "
"If I was with any other coach than Etters at Lehigh, I would have dropped out of track a long time ago. I have improved so much and could not have wished for a better person to support me. "
"My son had a couple of coaches in his track career and I have never heard him speak more highly about a coach than Coach Etters. He has high standards for his guys but knows what he is doing and always puts them and the team first. We are so proud of our son, and Coach Etters has become a big reason our kid is so successful. Coach Etters is truly amazing. "
"Out of all the coaches I've had in my track career Etters was by far the best. He pushed me to achieve my goals and be the best runner I could be while still focusing on my education. He is truly passionate about the sport and that is obvious to anyone who runs for him. "
"If you ran for him, you know. He has standards, unlike the rest of the staff.
If the athletics staff and the track staff would work with him, and not against him, they would have a lot of success."
"Coach Hunt was one of the best coaches I’ve ever had. He’s one of those rare coaches that is very intelligent game wise, as well as being a great person off of the field."
"Overall I believe Coach Khayla did her best with the amount of athletes and her own personal circumstances. However, more open and honest communication needs to be had between her and her athletes. Transparency is key. There were times I needed constructive criticism and direction and there was little given. I understand we’re adults, but as a collegiate athlete, I don’t think we should be expected to come up with season game plans for ourselves. I honestly didn’t know how to attain the level of success I wanted for myself through my own individualized approach; therefore I believe coaches are present in order to put ideas on the table and the athlete is there to buy in and execute. I think in the future sitting down one on one with athletes and designing an individualized approach together is most beneficial, especially if an athlete expresses interest in doing so. Every athlete is different so whether that be one person does more reps, takes more meets off, or has a different lifting plan then I think it’s something that may have to be done to reach success.
On another note, Coach Khayla is very knowledgeable. I just didn’t always feel as if the ideas were ever done as repetitively as they should have been nor were they executed in an orderly manner throughout the season. If she learns to consistently implement ideas and training I think it will bring amazing outcomes. Lastly, I liked the competitive nature that Coach Khayla fostered and I think that healthy competition should always be brought out in practice because that’s to be expected in meets. "
"Coach Khayla is an extremely talented coach who does out her athletes success first. She is very direct and wants the same from her athletes. While others might have a hard time relating to her, because she’s so intense it’s very important for our sport for our coach to make the most/best out of us. We are pushing ourselves to our limits everyday and she brings the energy to revive athletes after a long day of practice and school. She cares very deeply about athletes past their performance, however very few actually go to her for the support. But as someone who has I would not recommend anyone else. Thank you coach Khayla for everything"
"I was definitely not a good athlete and only ran track because I was required to and because my friends were on the team. While I didnt take the sport seriously, khayla made me want to care more and do better— I knew that if I didnt try for her I wouldn’t be wasting only my time but hers, which is something I didnt want to do because I respected my coach as a person so much. Even though I was no where close to the fastest I still got individualized help and coaching from her although I knew she had a million and more important other things to do and people to help. She never made the less athletic people feel like they were less or not worth the effort. She is incredible funny, inspiring and honest. She expressed personal interest in my art, which whe didnt have to do since it was was not related to track. Track is not an easy sport but if I didnt have khaylas leadership it would have been even harder. I thank her for giving me one of my first and only positive experiences with a coach and team, a very formative experience that I am endlessly grateful for. "
"Khayla was the best coach I’ve ever had. She was an axceptional coach and simultaneously a great friend. Her workouts pushed me to the next level which allowed to me excel in ways the other coaches thought was impossible. No matter what she never gives up on an athlete who is putting in the work and trying to improve. While her workouts, especially “grind” days, may be tough, her motivation is next level. You will hear her from the other side of the track and it will be loud and clear. She is very direct while coaching and will say exactly what must be said, even if it is the ugliest of thruths. She keeps her athletes close and makes the “Spurdles” group feel like a tight knit family. You couldn’t possibly go wrong with Khayla."
"While she can be very tough on her athletes, sometimes to a fault. Coach Atte is one of the most knowledgeable and motivational coaches I have had the pleasure training and competing under "
"Coach Khayla brings her energy and passion to the table. She is detail-oriented and expects the best out of her athletes. At times she can lose touch with her athletes, but it is clear that she wants to be on the same page and reaches out. She's can be intense, but she knows what she's doing."
"He was a terrible abusive coach to my daughter. She had eating disorders after playing for him. He's controlling and mean and abusive to his players. I would never recommend anyone play for him or anyone like him. "
"Terrible man and abusive to his male and female players. Controlling, angry, and he actually just hit his player at Sacred Heart on the bench! If he does this on live TV there is always more that happens behind closed doors. He was physically and mentally abusive to me as a player. "
"Completely disorganized and dishonest, overmatched by this job despite having an extensive resume. Makes his athletes dread practices and games, plays favorites with certain players than outright refuses to consider other players despite how good they may be performing when given the opportunity. Not great at communicating with or listening to his players, frequently provides misleading information both about the game and logistically. Cultivated a team-culture of individualism and selfishness, is often rude or abrasive to assistant coaches, general managers or anyone he would consider his junior. I personally wouldn’t recommend at all."
"Older coach, very outdated mindset for the sport. Little to no care for players, not motivational at all, confusing, extremely disorganized and very very difficult to work with "
"I’ve had a great experience with Coach Lambinus. He’s a nice guy and genuinely cares about his players. He also heavily emphasizes success on and off the field (in the classroom) which is so important. "
"One of the greatest guys I know, always there to support you when you’re going though tough times. Pretty reserved, but when he does tell you something it’s almost always really insightful advice "
"Coach Lambinus cares not only about your development as an athlete at Lehigh, but as an overall human. He has taught me things about life that you cannot learn elsewhere, and I have come out a better person because of it. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to come to Lehigh and be a part of this great family."
"Coach Pat’s best qualities are not in his wrestling coaching abilities. While he is a great wrestling coach he is better at seeing the best in his athletes both on and off the mat and genuinely cares about how they are doing. "
"Deb is extremely caring and willing to go above and beyond for her athletes. She is incredibly understanding and caring but harsh when she needs to be. "
"You either love him, or you hate him. No in between. Ask a lot of questions on your overnight and spend as much time with him as possible to see if you could get along with him for four years."
"She is very young and knowledgeable of the game, but isn't very up to par on the whole balancing out class-work and practice along with family and your own well-being. Somewhat misleading when it comes to what she wants you to worry about first and hard to figure out as a person and coach; if she actually cares about her players or not."
"Coach Koski is a great man that cares a lot about the program and players. Lehigh does not support him as much as they should. He doesn't have huge knowledge in soccer, but recruits well, has a good staff around him, and is very truthful with players about playing time and expectations. "
"I am so thankful to have had Deb as a coach; she's not just a coach, but someone who has become a close friend and confidant. Deb has years of experience as a coach, and knows how to handle any and all issues both in and out of practice. She fine tunes training plans to each and every athlete if they need it, listening when you speak. It doesn't matter if you are the best runner or the worst, she gives you her time, attention, and utmost respect."
"Bob Bertucci lives, eats, breathes volleyball and knows the sport extremely well. His ability to communicate and relate to players, however, is nil. He is very stuck in his ways and unwilling to bend."
"Bob is an old school coach. When he truly believes a team can win he will do everything he can to get the team to that place. Focuses on the basics and he wants players that are all in... players that could have gone to a bigger D1 school but also want a good, rigorous academic schedule. Wants to create connection between coaching staff and players, but not all players can connect."
"Bob knows his stuff when it comes to volleyball! Personality-wise, he comes off a bit harsh and stubborn, but that is something that the players learn to deal with. He is used to coaching at high-intensity programs that place more emphasis on athletics than academics. He does care about his players but sometimes does not understand how to convey that appropriately."
"Coach Hunt is a solid coach who cares about winning. He wants the program to go in the right direction and does what he can to make sure that he puts a wining product out on the field."
"Very commited to doing his job to the highest standard. Cares a lot. Some people aren't used to his old school style but I think it can be a good thing at times."
"Coach Hunt is a players-first coach. His program is all about the athletes and he is committed to go the extra mile for this players. I love playing for Coach Hunt."
"Coach Caseese is more than a college lacrosse coach but a mentor, to all of his athletes. During the recruiting process he explains that athletics is just one part of your relationship. He expects the best out of you in all aspects of life, but encourages you to have the same expectations of him as well. He is a world class coach, person and leader."
"Does a wonderful job recruiting and builds relationships with his players throughout their careers. Very invested in his player's health, academic pursuits, and best interests in general."
"I have been on a journey to reach a professional football career, however Coach Hunt, whether it be his lack of experience as a head coach or dislike in myself as a student-athlete, has not been of much help. I hired an agent who has been a perfect match for me and my drive toward success, but Coach Hunt has not appeared to have been as proactive in selling me as a prospect. Could be that he does not believe I am good enough for the NFL, but there are plenty of people who do."
"Having the opportunity to visit Lehigh was great. Attending various prospect camps, and talking with the coaching staff on official visits, made me appreciate Lehigh University. To this extent, the university is surrounded by a lot of rural scenery, so for those who enjoy a historic environment, Lehigh University is a campus of your interest."
