"This man is one of the worst people I’ve ever known. He spoke badly about his staff behind their backs, and just in general other awful comments, especially against women. He cultivated an environment where he constantly pitted other people against each other and never encouraged anyone. This man is emotionally and verbally abusive. I truly hope he has changed, but I doubt it. "
"Played with him and he was a coach already as a catcher. I was drafted twice MLB and JUCO National Title in 03’. Cooper is a legend in Vegas baseball community. "
"Was recruited by him for a short amount of time. Was not a very good communicator and didn't take pride in the relationships he built with his players. Does not care about his players as people."
"Reviewing Craig Voltz is something many of his former players have tried for years. We tried to tell the Athletics Department at Louisiana Tech about the mind games he played, the way he made his own players feel worthless, and the times he made players play through injuries. Despite these efforts, we were ignored by the athletic director, Eric Woods. So, to finally get the chance to “review” Coach Voltz and not be silenced, you can see that many of his former players are not taking this opportunity lightly. I often look back on my college experience and wish it had been different. I wish I hadn’t lost the love of the sport of soccer, I wish my coach built me up as a player and person instead of taking that love from me. I wish I hadn’t watched my teammates endure the mental abuse that came from him. I can’t go back in time and change that. But if this review forum can prevent a player from going through that in their future, I will gladly share my experience and hope that the next girl doesn’t have the opportunity to be coached by Craig Voltz."
"His recruitment of coaches has been disastrous, many female members of staff are leaving the department because of his treatment of them, and his leadership style is based on bullying people into submission. Many members of staff are wishing to leave because of him but are scared to speak out because of his threats. Disgusting human being and the worst leader of this once proud University."
"People talk about how he has developed a very toxic working environment for the department. Many staff are leaving apparently because of his bullying style of leadership. Most alarming is to hear about his misogynistic behavior which includes intimidating or humiliating women, destroying women's self-confidence in order to control and blame women for his own personal failings."
"My son had a terrible experience at LA Tech as an athlete due to his experience with this athletic director. I am a proud parent of an openly gay student-athlete and was very upset to hear that his coach at LA Tech was put under intense pressure from Eric Wood not to recruit my son because he was gay. The coach refused to submit to the pressure and recruited my son anyway, despite being told his job would be on the line as a result. After attending LA Tech Eric Wood was very cold and rude to my son whenever he was in his company and I understand the coach was eventually forced out by Eric Wood. It is shocking that LA Tech would allow this to happen."
"She genuinely wants the girls to enjoy being on the team, to learn, have a great time, and win but sometimes her ways of coaching aren't the most effective."
