"I have to agree with the other poster, Coach Hildabrand is the worst! The locker room and overall culture of the program are TOXIC! He has little feel for the game and is almost always out coached by his opponents. His roster and lineup management are nonexistent. Adam single handily is responsible for so many players losing interest in the “beautiful game.” Each year he brings in a ton of new recruits, most of whom will loose interest and either quit or transfer long before graduation. I would understand if his tactics resulted in a winning program, but Hildabrand’s win-loss record is horrible — he wins less than 40% of his games! I agree with the other poster, any other school that cared about its soccer programs would have fired Adam years ago. My advice to high school players is to go somewhere else! MCLA is not worth it!!"

"Coach Hildabrand is the worst! He breeds a toxic locker room and player culture. He is almost always outmatched by opposing coaches, and has little feel for the game. Late game breakdowns are commonplace as he is weak on strategy and has no idea how to manage his lineup. The truth is that most players leave the program long before graduation. Each year there are lots of new freshmen, but most will either transfer out or just stop playing soccer within a year or two. Hildabrand is one of those coaches who cause players to lose interest in soccer. Adam’s career win-loss record is abysmal. Historically, his teams struggle each year to win more than 30% of their games. Any other school that cared about it’s athletic programs would have fired him years ago. My advice to high school student-athletes is to steer clear of this program! It’s not worth it!! "
