"Dictator style of coaching. Dishonest and forces players to play hurt. Threatens pulling scholarships, punitive running, and is protected by the athletic administration. "
"Not passionate about coaching at all. Spends time comparing everything to his experience as an athlete. Thinks extremely highly of himself. Uses phone more than talking with athletes. Watches other meets on his phone during his own teams conference championship. "
"
Head coach at Austin Peay State is absolutely a horrible coach and even worse person. Mentally abusive to players, coaches and personnel. Creates a very toxic and negative environment. Is very disrespectful to players and staff. Does not believe in any of her players, is only out to win at any cost creating a very negative environment. Encouraging players to quit constantly, telling them they will never play here and to look elsewhere. Definitely does not play her best players, record speaks for itself. Stay away from this program until a new coach is in place. Sadly a great school whose keeping an awful coach who stands for nothing the school portrays itself to be"
"Creates toxic environment that is unhealthy for athletes’ mental and physical health and wellbeing. Plays favorites and targets athletes she doesn’t like. Stay away."
"This coach was reported for multiple NCAA violations during my time at the university, multiple of which I experienced and/or saw written proof of. I have interacted with multiple other DI coaches who knew that Tom Chorny was my coach and showed concern for me — this program has a reputation across multiple NCAA DI teams and conferences for having large numbers of athletes injured/unable to compete."
"Save yourself and don’t commit to this college. She ignores you when you have a slow race. Her workouts do not make you faster, they make you slower. Does not get along with other female athletes."
"Plays her favorites, regardless of what is best for the team and then later on makes excuses for the select few. At practices, put those players above everyone else"
"Always puts the players before himself. Super approachable and has a smile 24/7. Works out with the team and is always striving to make a healthy and competitive team culture. "
"Overall a good visit to Miami of Ohio. The tour was extensive, and we got to see all of the amazing facilities the school had to offer. The visit itinerary was extensive and followed to a T. The only thing that threw me off is that there were 17 other recruits on the visit so it was hard to meet all the recruits as well as the team. The coaches were nice but the head coach seemed a little off , and maybe some slight disdain coming from the athletes. The coach brought each recruit into their office and the lights were dimmed and it seemed like an interrogation of sorts, asking questions about our leadership ability. There were lots of fun activities planned and at the time I definitely saw myself attending the school but ultimately picked somewhere else. "
"Inako cares about his players on and off the field. His goal is to not only make his players better field hockey players but his goal is to grow them as human beings. "
"Iñako is an amazing coach. He is really passionate, demanding, and works really hard on giving you all you need to succeed in each game. He pushes you to become the best player you can be. "
"Great coach on and off the field. He helped me to grow as a person and as player. He knows how to read his players (every player has different ways to be approached) also very dedicated coach, very professional and committed to the team you can see he is very passionate of what he does. Great leader!! "
"Had a wonderful first experience with coach Hollie, however as time went on most of the team including myself realized she had no intention of keeping to tradition and set goals for her own selfish desires. Her selfish ambitions shadowed her knowledge for the sport. Overall very disappointed with the experience."
"Honestly couldn't have answered more strongly and confident in the answers above. Inako is a great coach and knows so much about the game of field hockey. He dedicates so much of his life to game plans and strategies and helps us get the best outcomes on the field. He does his part, it is just up to us to do ours!"
"Coach knew a lot about the sport and had a credible background, but she had no sense of leadership or respect for her athletes or assistant coaches. She puts on a great first impression but falls short when following through with promises. She also puts on a great show for the athletic department, but is truly only self-serving. "
