"Coach Ozturk is an exceptional coach! He has in depth knowledge of the game, can read the game better than many coaches and will teach players more about the game than most coaches. If you are a player that expects things to be handed to you, guaranteed playing time, guaranteed starts, one that doesn’t want to put in 110% effort every time you step on the field and isn’t willing to step outside your comfort zone to try new things, then coach Ozturk is not for you and maybe you need to look at the level of soccer you are playing and maybe you need to take a step down in levels. Coach Ozturk, like most high level coaches at the highest club levels and college level expect all of these things out of players. I don’t know any COMPETITIVE college program that guarantees starts and playing time. Players are always competing against each other for time on the field. That is college soccer. You’re competing against teammates/friends for playing time. If a player isn’t willing to try what a coach wants, a good coach is going to find someone that is, because the ultimate goal is for the team to have a success. Coach Ozturk gives players what they need to succeed but players have to trust in the process and sometimes step outside their comfort zone or what they know in order for the process to work and have success. What worked at a youth level may not work at the college level and same from game to game. Coach Ozturk can read the game and knows what adjustments can be done for players to have success. Players who trust the process have gone from good players to amazing players under Coach Ozturk’s coaching. He has taken teams of mediocre players who should not have had success and turned them into teams that had a ton of success and won championships, because the players trusted his process and all gave 110% all the time. Sure if was tough and didn’t come overnight, but the success started coming and when the girls saw the benefits of their hard work they started having more fun and even worked harder because they knew they could become even better under Coach Ozturk’s coaching. Success doesn’t happen overnight. Most coaches get upset after losing a game as great coaches are always looking at how they can improve their team. Players get upset after losing games, it’s human. Coach Ozturk is no different. He cares about players success and is always thinking of ways to help. Players/parents etc should never approach a coach directly after a loss because a great coach is replaying the game in their head trying to figure out what they can do to improve the team for the next game. Coach Ozturk is no different. He cares enough that he wants to find ways to make the team get success and he starts thinking about this immediately. Nobody likes to loose and just like in life if you fail at something you often have to work harder to have success. Coach Ozturk has the knowledge and coaching ability to have any team have success, but the players HAVE to be willing to put in the hard work, effort and trust his process to have success. Once you do this, success will come and hard work and 110% effort becomes the norm and players have fun. Players who trusted the process, worked hard, and saw the benefits, will tell any player that it’s worth it in the end. No matter how good you are, there is always room for improvement. College soccer is another level and if your not willing to go the extra mile, then maybe you should only play club level in college as any college coach is going to push you. Coach Ozturk has the ability to bring out a players best abilities on the field if you just put in effort and trust his coaching. Coach Ozturk will be honest on what you need to improve on. If you can’t handle honest feedback, then coach ozturk is not for you, nor is any great coach. Great coaches like Coach Ozturk, will always be honest. If you are a player that loves the game of soccer, realizes that everyone can improve their game, and is willing to put in effort you would be fortunate to have coach ozturk as your coach. If you are a player that thinks they are great and have nothing to improve on and you think you can just get by with what you’ve always done and aren’t open to new things, then coach Ozturk is not the coach for you. "

"Read through the posts, several real several not, strangely negatives will get multiple positives immediately following them as if rating is what matters. My experience is that we had a positive result after a hard 2 win season and then COVID came. We lost Coach Jacob before we could get going again. The negatives summed nicely throughout the posts. Still talking to my therapist about this coach. Teammate vs teammate constant wondering if you start or substitute. No consistency in game or practice. Always wondering of the mood practice game bus. #CrazySmart. Wishing the team success."
