"Sinclair is lost. Middlebury replacing Beaney with this fool signaled that the WOKE school administration wanted to bring the once proud program down 10 notches. He is truly a terrible coach. Teams are no longer competitive. He has never ever built or developed a team. I would be conerned if he was the coach of a mite team. he is that bad. He is just what the administration wanted. A guy with a nice pair of kahkis and a blue sportjacke that will not rock the boat. He should have been fired years ago .... The program will continue to spiral downward with him around ... but .., if that was the plan - it is working great. It is a shame this guy was handed the keys to a once great program. Sad. He is horrible - (first hand experience)!!!"
"Awful coach, can’t relate to players at all and doesn’t communicate well. It’s a shame that such a prestigious program like Midd was willing to take on someone like this to lead their program. Look at the stats and talk to recent alumni; you’d be hard pressed to find anyone that has anything positive to say about this guy. "
"Bill is a stereotypical old school very direct coach who cares about every player but may not be the most outwardly expressing emotional coach. He is fair in all his decisions and extremely knowledgeable in the sport which he has proven with his seasons since he took over as head coach. Always honest and responsive if you approach him or have questions and is always willing to help with anything from hockey to education. "
"Terrible hockey joke. Doesn’t know how to run a high end program, let alone any program in general. Stats speak for themselves, he’s never won his entire coaching career. Shouldn’t be coaching college hockey, embarrassing he still has a job. No parent should trust him with their kid and no kid should want to battle under him. Avoid at all costs. "
"I would absolutely avoid playing for Neil Sinclair at all costs. The worst coach I have ever played for. Embarrassing that he is still coaching at Middlebury, let alone in college hockey. Even more embarrassing he got a contract extension. Tells you a lot about Middlebury. His record at Middlebury is appalling. Made me hate the sport, never want to play it again because of him. He’s a hypocrite and two-faced. Doesn’t actually care about his players. If I am a player or parent and Middlebury is interested, I’d tell them no thank you and move on. Absolutely joke of a program ran by a joke of a head coach."
"I would avoid him at all costs. More kids have quit under this coach than graduated as college hockey players. Preaches accountability but has none himself. He made me hate hockey. "
"Laughable that this guy is still a coach. Terrible communication and is the furthest from being accountable. You never know where you stand with this guy and he loves to blame his losing seasons on guys that don't play. It would be one thing if he was knowledgeable about the game, but he had some of the worst hockey IQ in college hockey; I wouldn't want him coaching a high school team. Even the more recent Middlebury grads agreed and were livid he got the job. "
"Extremely passionate and highly knowledgeable. Coaches for the next level and generation of field hockey. Not only an incredible field hockey mind but molds her players into better people by instilling core values and expecting high level of life skills (e.i. Effective public speaking, time management, communication, leadership from ALL players). "
"Nicole is energetic, super supportive, knowledgeable, passionate, and caring. She caters toward each athlete's needs and struggles, which is so important in track and cross country when each runner's body thrives from a different intensity and volume in training. She also is always very prepared and pushes her athletes to perform their best."
"Delo is by far the best coach I've ever had. She is a passionate, caring, loving, and motivational coach who helps us reach our potentials as individuals and as a team both on and off the field. She has full faith and belief in all of us and our abilities and teaches us life lessons that we can apply to the world outside of athletics. "
"KP is the greatest coach I have ever had the pleasure of playing for. I played 3 sports my entire life with countless coaches, and I can honestly say that KP most greatly impacted my life for the better. Coming to Middlebury to play under KP was the best decision I have ever made for countless reasons. The Middlebury lacrosse family is so special!"
"Coach Elias is the most dedicated Coach I have ever played for. He works so hard to improve every day, and is always looking for ways to make Middlebury Soccer the best in the country."
"This guy is not a coach, he is a moron. Do not play for this idiot. How he got this job is beyond comprehension. it is an absolute disgrace that this man remains behind the bench. The student athletes, the community and the student body deserve better. "
"Coach Ritter is a very supportive coach concerning things on the field and off the field. He also makes himself available to talk football, classes, or life in general once a week in the student center (McCullough). Very approachable guy in general, he has a lot of love for his players."
"Mike was really honest during recruiting process and was a really great coach. We always have a strong program and he really cares about the players. He goes out of his way to help people, and he makes the program."
"Coach Beaney has a tough approach to the recruiting process but is very supportive of you once you're in the program. Your dedication to the team will be tested."
"After his first year at Middlebury College, Coach Sinclair did a fabulous job of getting to know his players and making the best use to lead the team to the conference semi finals. Very easy to walk into his office and talk about hockey, academics, or about anything."
"Bill Beaney is a great coach and an ever better person. He genuinely cares about his players and connects with them on a personal level. He is certainly challenging to play for at times but it's only because he wants to see how far you can push yourself."
"Bill has a specific way of coaching that some may or may not like. He likes to see players push themselves and sees himself more for solutions or advice. He gives structured practices and really likes to have the players constantly battling through competitions during practice to get ready for tournaments."
"Great spirit and competition in the NESCAC conference. Midd tennis is a close-knit group that commits a lot of time and energy to the team (don't be fooled by DIII& it's expected you put as much work in as any DI program). Mike Morgan is a genuine coach who will do anything to help his players. Sometimes he is intense, but he is always well-intentioned and has a heart of gold."
"One of my favorite coaches I've ever had. Tries to make himself part of the team and not distance himself from what is going on in respect to the players performances and attitudes. He sometimes comes off having a lack of communication but that is part of his coaching style, which leaves the player to find and address his or her mistakes."
"Not only is Middlebury an amazing school to attend, but playing for Coach Hansen was one of the best experiences I've had. We had an amazing team atmosphere and I loved every second"
"I am fortunate to have spent 4 years with Coach Ritter. He believed in me during the recruiting process and made it a priority to get me to come to Middlebury. Aside from head coaching responsibilities, I did not work directly with Coach Ritter during practice as I was a defensive back but he was very supportive to me in many of the challenges I faced throughout my college career."
"In simplest terms, Coach DeLorenzo is the best. She cares about each member of the team as a player and as a student and goes out of her way to make sure that each of us has what we need to succeed; she is supportive both on and off the field. Academics always come first, and she guides us in the best way possible to help us balance it all. She is a friend to all and a vital part of the family dynamic on our team and I consider myself lucky to call her my coach."
"This guy is an absolute joke as a coach. Means well and is a good person, but is the farthest thing from a coach. He couldn't coach a kindergarten soccer team. He pulled the goalie with 3 min left in a tie game... enough said."
