"Nate was the WORST athletic coach I’ve ever had in my athletic career. He would treat his players like they were just chess pieces in his game of chess (baseball). Constantly putting them down, telling them they aren’t good enough, & punishing them for mistakes. He would consistently separate the team by playing favorites & punishing the ones who didn’t make the cut. There was an instance in our season where Nate defended one of his “favorites” by punishing our best pitcher by making him miss a starting appearance, simply due to standing up to this “favorite” and telling him that nagging on the team after a loss isn’t a healthy way of looking at things. We ended up losing this crucial, inner-conference game due to Glant’s childlike behavior. This “favorite” would constantly be negative in the dugout if his teammates misplayed, but the moment he misplayed anything, it was never his fault. He was Nate’s “mini-me” and he clearly fed off of this energy. Glant catered to this personality by holding him under his wings (for nearly 4 years at a CC LMAO), babying him through the process, & shutting down anyone that tried to get the same treatment or speak up against his favoritism. Mind you, this player would never go on to play a single pitch of college baseball after playing underneath Glant… interesting.
One of my teammates suffered a huge emotional loss during the season and Nate didn’t do anything to comfort them or make them feel that they are cared about. Instead, he dismissed what the player had going on in his life & told him he wasn’t doing a good enough job for the team by letting his emotions get the best of him. I want to remind the reader that this player was not somebody who would give Nate a hard time at any point during the season. Nate is simply a scummy, poor excuse of a man that is simply trying to dig himself out of this deep, dark hole his brother buried him in when he became much more successful than Glant. Glant, if you’re reading this… keep on trying buddy! Maybe someday you will be a good enough coach & make enough money to afford a car less than 10 years old! Keep on keeping on, Coke boy!
Oh! And not to mention! He left Muskegon CC’s baseball program over $30,000 in debt!!! Embezzlement? Poor communication of funding? Who knows? This guy is as scummy as it gets and is somehow in a “role model” position for impressionable young men. Super sad."
"Jeff Lohman’s program puts emphasis on fitness, team bonding, and quality of play. An additional strength of his program is the guest speakers that come to speak to the team to help motivate, inspire, and encourage the them."
