"In my opinion, he is a monster! In my opinion, he doesn’t care about athletes. He is using educational institutions as a cloak to continue his predation, ugliness upon young women. He doesn’t know anything about coaching. He tears down athletes, calls them names, uses racial epithets, degrades and belittles athletes, body shames, and anything else to get a sadistic laugh for his sick psyche. He needs to get some serious help and NEVER should be allowed to coach the rest of his life! This my opinion of this person. "
"Is currently at New Mexico State University. Does not care about the athlete just the money. Completely disorganized, makes up everything on the go and does not hesitate to tell you how awful you are in the least constructive manner possible. Constantly calls you names and makes sexist, racist, and derogatory comments about athletes and others (including his own wife). Constantly making derogatory comments and tearing athletes down. He likes to try and pit athletes against each other and will openly talk bad about other athletes and coaches in front of other athletes. Will not talk to you after you perform poorly. Constantly prays on your downfall because he finds it amusing. Plays favorites. Makes suicide jokes about athletes as well as jokes about mental and physical disabilities. Constantly makes fun of athletes weight and will tell them to hit numbers, then make fun of them for that number. Weight room is awful and completely unsafe. He does not show any concern for correct form or if your body is hurting/ injured. Only that you are moving x amount of weight. Do not recommend going to be coached by him even if you think you have the thickest of skin. Culture was good because we at least banded together over our dislike for him. He knows absolutely nothing about javelin and for all events will have you do the most useless and out of pocket drills and lifts. "
"Team culture was horrific. Lack of leadership starting from the Coach to the Captains. He would punish the team by making them run 5 miles after a loss, which was frequent. He would tell his players "my job is on the line, we need to win" He got into a player's face in 2021 after they lost to GCU 6-0. The player went to the bathroom and didn't hear the post game meeting location was changed. When she showed up late bc she was trying to find the team, he pointed his finger in her face and said "don't F%@$ talk to your parents." Rob uses the players against each other just to get them to compete as a motivator which makes the team play dirty and causes poor team chemistry. Rob has anger management issues and he does not handle the pressure of being a HC well. The pressure to get his contract renewed caused him to be abusive to his players. There is a difference between being head strong and being able to take on an abusive coach. If know of anyone who plays for him and they start to speak about his leadership or the way he handles players....listen, don't brush it under the rug and say "that's how D1 works" There is an issue....look at how many starters and non starters have transferred out in the last 4 years. Rob is completely disorganized. NCAA has specific rules about how much time the team trains. Rob would constantly extend training times and not care about if you had a class. You would show up to practice and Rob would say, "oh I was suppose to give you the day off today" but you would still have to practice. There are girls on the team who are failing but he allows players to play. He doesn't care about his athletes. If you are injured he ignores you. A player had an acl recon last year and he never once called her pre surgery to wish her well or post surgery to check in on her. If this is the type of coach you are looking for then this is the place for you! It has been a pure disappointment."
"A very tough and straight to the point coach. He is very big on fitness and you will not play if you are not fit. He will mess with your mental health if you are not headstrong. If you liked to be challenged and pushed this is the place for you. I definitely think that team chemistry needs a lot of work and organization from the program could be a lot better."
