"When the universe tells you, you are in the wrong profession : best to listen. Those who abuse have Probably been abused. Best to take some time and heal."
"Hank is hands down one of the best NYU Swimming coaches. His sets are super tough but you feel so accomplished after you finish them. He knows the game being an ex-college swimmer himself. Super cool guy too! I wish he could be there everyday!!!"
"Those who know him, know he cares.
He is off the charts honest....that's why some people probably don't like him.
He is a student of the game...always watching the game, talking the game and trying to learn more about the game.
He cares deeply about his family and that includes his team.
I would send my kid to play for him in a heartbeat and know that they were going to play for a coach who is going to take great care of them and work to give them a great experience.
"
"Demeaning (actually pats adults on the top of the head!!) does not know how to motivate, does not make any attempt to create good young adults. If you are not his superstar, you are NOTHING to coach. Sad!!"
"Great coach that I feel like is one of the best in DIII. I feel like Trevor improves every year and I saw him growing as a coach as I went through the program. He does have his shortcoming as every person does but overall I really enjoyed my tenure under him."
"Very straight-forward minded. Great person and cares a lot but lacks connection and trust with his players. Some ineffective offensive principals, and very repetitive in-game patterns. He faced a tough team situation which didn't help in performance. "
"Good person and means well, but is too regimented. He does not connect with his players on a personal level. The program is a dictatorship, not a democracy by any means."
"He is extremely secretive, does not share info with team. He is in way over his head. Does not care if we win or loss. I really wish he would leave, it's not fair to the team. He does not know the game, he is the worst coach I ever had. I played my entire life to end my career playing for this horrible coach. Please just leave already!"
"My coach is not respected nor does he know the game. The school turns their head regarding how poorly the team is run. I have experienced so many amazing coaches during my career and by far he is the worst. The support staff turnover is high because they catch on to him during the season. He needs to be replaced. "
"Michele is a great coach. She cares about the overall health/cohesiveness of the team and is super knowledgeable. She is a little intense, but very available to talk about soccer or personal things. One of the best coaches I've ever had. "
"Michele is a great coach &mentor. I was on the fence about playing soccer in college and decided last minute to give it a try - I played all four seasons and it was the highlight of my college time. I went through a hard personal period & she provided unbelievable support and guidance. She taught me so much about soccer and life in general. "
"As a transfer from a broken Divison I program, I have come to know Coach Ward as a great mentor and coach. She cares deeply about her players and their academic and athletic success. She is fully aware of our academic schedules at NYU and is totally understanding about working with us through scheduling issues. She is kind, focused and honest. "
"It was not the soccer experience that I was hoping for when I went to college. Many players quit, and didn't seem to enjoy their time on the team. Some of the things that I was told would happen never did. "
"Michele is easily one of the best coaches that I have ever had. She is so understanding both on and off the field. You can tell she really cares about each and every one of the girls on the team. Each practice she shows up ready to motivate and coach to the best of her ability. Given NYU's prestigious academic standards, she also understands that the team has a lot of work on most days of the week and tries to allocate enough time for us to succeed in our studies. Go Violets!"
"I personally didn't love my experience playing soccer at NYU, but I think a big issue was I expected something different than what was pitched. Coach is a nice person who works well with a lot of players, but my experience wasn't the best. I would not hold that against her, but take the time to make sure you get along with her, or any coach when you're going through the recruiting process."
"Nikki is so knowledgeable about the game. She is a talented player AND coach. She gives amazing and direct feedback, and is a pleasure to be around. "
