"I’m shocked to see some of these reviews but also chalk them up to frustration regarding playing time. It is, no doubt, very frustrating when you love a sport to not see court time as often as you would like. However, at the college level playing time is not guaranteed. Sometimes it can be difficult to step back and fairly evaluate ourselves/our friends/our children without bias. Coach has the utmost respect for all of her players who are giving it their all day in and day out. She is there for her players both on and off the court. At the end of the day, line ups are always going to come down to skill, attitude, and the key components a player can to bring to help the team as a whole. My experiences with Coach have been incredibly positive. I received open and honest feedback and communication, and been able to have direct conversations regarding both the sport and academics. Coach is the most impactful coach I have had as an athlete and the things I have learned from her extend far beyond a gymnasium. "

"I have had a ton of coaches throughout my athletic career and I can say that Coach Astrauskas has probably been the most impactful on the court and off. She is incredibly intense with very high expectations that I have always felt were fair. I feel that’s how it should be if you’re passionate about the sport and hope to share that intense passion and desire to win with your team. I have always appreciated coach’s honesty and intensity, but also am grateful for her ability to turn it off and have real conversations with her athletes. She is always there when they need someone to go to, especially while trying to navigate all that comes with getting through college and even life’s challenges. I am forever thankful to have had the opportunity to play under Coach. I hope many future generations of Ripon College athletes are lucky enough to get the same opportunity I was afforded, as my experience under coach has helped mold me into who I am today. "
