"Moody. Didn't make good game decisions and strategy. Played favorites. Almost impossible to move into lineup even when others didn't make an impact. Appeared to have starters and subs already determined before first day of practice even if a Freshman. Thank God for the transfer portal!"
"Where to start? Absolutely no concern for academics (literally calls school “stupid”) or fitness (what’s fitness?) Nutrition? Mexican before a game, ice cream after. Only D1 program where the only guarantee during the season is weight gain. Absolutely no opportunities for player development. Only Coach to disappear from the campus except for the 6am practices (see recruiting, below). Practices revolve around YouTube drills. Communication is nonexistent- be prepared to get a cookie cutter label which will stick like permanent glue in spite of all efforts to improve. Loves to blame goals and losses on individuals. Be prepared to never watch game film. Dishonest about his own experiences. Crazy how his stories don’t match a simple google search…. ZERO accountability expected. Show up late for practice? No biggie. Show up late for the team bus? That’s ok you’ll still start the game. Number one priority = recruiting, because retention is near zero since the player tolerance of all this behavior is about one season. "
"Brian is a coach you want to have. He is a coach that will do what it takes to help you grow. He knows what he wants but will adjust based on the opposition and the strength of what he has. He will motivate his athletes in a positive way."
"Not overly attentive to the training or task at hand. Difficulty w seeing adjustments to training that are needed based on personnel and their respective capabilities or effort. Family man who clearly loves his kids and involves them to the degree possible and appropriate. "
"Brian is a great coach and goalkeeper coach. He cares about his players and he always is laughing and building relationships with players. He knows the game and puts in a lot of time. "

"Not caring, not fair, divides the team, treats them like little kids when they are adults. Likes to talk about the mental aspect of the game, but seldom practices what she preaches. Only pays attention to the players that fit her narrative, uses those players to report on other players as she turns them against each other. She tells her players that they will have opportunities to prove themselves, only not to play them and further crush their confidence. "
"Disregards players health
Makes the team go against one another instead of initiating a “team” culture
Feeds into team drama instead of stopping it
Discusses teammates personal info with the team
Her Mother is a volunteer coach who is rude to the girls
Makes up her rules for the team and changes them for each girl. Inconsistent. If your parent complains you get playing time. If you speak up or have a suggestion you get punished.
Feeds them junk while on the road. Sheetz, fast food, and barely allows $5 a meal
Please.. do your child a favor. They will not be happy ! No amount of scholarship money can justify the mental abuse on the team.

"Great coach to play for. Fair and very understanding off the court in many aspects. Cares about social issues such as race and has actively displayed that. Wants to win!!"
"He is very knowledgeable but struggles to connect with all players, connects with members that only have a impact. Can improve with the assistant coaches he hires, but more importantly should try to make the experience more fun for athletes that come through the program."

"One of the greatest coaches I have ever experienced. As a former athlete turned college coach I have been around countless coaches at every level. Chris Villarrial is a man that anyone is lucky to play for given the opportunity."
"Kyle lives and breathes this team and this University and it is so greatly evident in his attitude and in his heart. He is the perfect example for myself and this team to look up to as a leader and I know he's made such an immense impact on each of our lives."
"Seems to connect with older players that have an impact on the team, but he has a hard time with younger players. Not sure why, but it is slightly confusing."
