"I personally have a good relationship with Coach Parker and regularly see the field. Outside of soccer he is a decent guy, he has his flaws, mainly around just how he treats others. He is a workaholic though, so that might explain why he is so careless about how he treats his players and staff. He has a very strong personality, and does a great job at recruiting, but once on team he has a little to no personal relationships with any of the players. Does not create a good culture, team is very divided and coach acknowledges this but doesn't do anything to change it. Majority of team is transferring this year because they were unhappy with coach Parker and treatment they received. Some very, very, VERY sketchy things going on with a outside Panamanian agency, where they are very big donators to the team, and help place players on the team (for which the agency pays for their entire tuition allowing the team to save some of it's scholarship budget) , but also influence coach regarding who plays, where they play, and just have a overall very strong pull on coach. They have attended multiple practices where they are on the sideline talking and yelling at players, sometimes even pulling players out of drills mid-practice to speak with them. Practices are very focused on the starting team and when in season there is almost no attention given to players who do not play. Very hard to develop as a player under this coach as he does not give many opportunities to players that don't already regularly play. Multiple cases throughout this past year where players have essentially been outcast from team trainings as he didn't think they were at the level to play there. Team culture is losing and being okay with it, a lot of blame is tossed around whether its from players to coach, coach to players, players to the agency, coaching staff to the agency... Coach also contradicts himself a lot and is constantly talking about the team not being bought in which is the reason why we lose games... but every game we continue to not put out our strongest eleven, and when confronted about this, Coach just says his "Hands are tied" (referring to the panama situation). I highly recommend reaching out to former players through instagram or any other way you possibly can as they can go into more depth about the entire situation at Saint Leo as well as their experience. "
"As a parent always known the kids are taken care of. Old school coach preparing ladies for success through accountability, focus on academics, and commitment to the team. Very committed to the team, with a high level of integrity. "
"Creates great rapport with players who are receptive and want to get better, therefore creates a great trust among players come match time when it really counts."
"Running track for kent was the best decision. He’s really good at listening, and giving feed back when you have a one on one with him or showing concerns about your performance at practice or a meet. You will love it "
"Terrible coach. Lies. Doesn’t care about or respect his players. Emotionally abusive. Fosters horrible team culture. Fitness & strength & size are most important to him. Doesn’t care about technical ability or keeping possession. Plays every player out of position. Don’t play for him if you desire a positive collegiate soccer experience."
"Coach Caldwell comes from a winning background. AllSec catcher at Auburn , 7 yrs of pro ball. Has a baseball mentality and a blue collar work ethic. Players coach and strives to make each player better on and off the field. "
"Brandon is super cool. He is really made the Saint Leo athletic multimedia step up and it’s game. He’s super cool to work with and making videos and they are super sick"
"Fran the man! Fran Is super cool and a great face to see around the gym. He has done well for the obstacles I have been thrown him and I appreciate him with how he still with the situation."
"What can I not say about Paul. He is a very interesting guy in the best way! His practices are a little difficult but it comes with the territory. Always around to have a laugh and conversation with."
"He is a very kind and passionate person. He really knows his players and involved with all things regarding school functions. He is always smiling and a great person to be around! "
"There are no words to describe Coach Joe. He is incredible and incredible strength coach and he knows he knows exactly what he’s talking about. I can honestly say I got very strong through my time at Saint Leo training with him. He’s also a really good person and I trust him with my life."
"I love coach Joe! He is not only a great strength coach and knows what he’s doing but he is a great person! I played volleyball here and coach Joe was our main coach and I honestly got super strong being with him. "
"B-rad! This guy is the best! He is in charge of some media and game operations for some sports. I love walking through the gym and seeing him, always great to talk too! "
"Jorgo cares for his players even though he comes off a little intense. Stand up guy and loves playing for him. He’s super loyal and been with the program since the beginning. "
"Jorgo is an intense guy but is very competitive and brings that into the team culture. Sometimes he makes iffy decisions but other than that solid dude. "
"Marcal has been at saint leo since I have and he is so helpful. He is apart of compliance and runs all the athlete meetings accordingly. If you ever have a question he is available and answers quickly. "
"Barb is the head athletic trainer. I play volleyball and she is not our trainer but she has sat in at a few practices. She doesn’t really pay attention that much and when someone gets hurt doesn’t really have urgency to attend to them. She is not very responsive and difficult to communicate with. "
"Mrs. Kim is the best. She is the assistant to Fran Reidy, our AD. She helps athletes with getting our book orders and anything else academically we need. She is very quick at responding and easy to communicate with. I love her. "
"There is nothing wrong I can say about Suz. She is the best person and athletic trainer ever! She is dedicated to her job, athletes, and everyone around her. You will never leave an interaction with Suz unhappy."
"Jeff is the best athletic trainer. He is super cool, funny, easy to talk to and knows what he’s doing. Whenever you have something wrong just go to Jeff and hell Help you out with no judgement. "
"Coach Hansen is super intense. You can tell she’s passionate about the game but she’s honestly just not knowledgeable enough sometimes to win. She’s nice and tries to be personable. I liked the team atmosphere a lot."
"Coach Hansen is very passionate. Loves the game and the girls. She knows how to create a winning culture. She super cool and you can go to her for anything! "
"Our locker room is right next to the field so it’s very convenient. Our field is super cool and pretty up to date. The turf could use a switch but other than it’s a great field. We do share with the field with the guys (not practice) but it normally doesn’t make it that difficult to do work on your own. "
"The courts themselves are pretty nice. We have six so it’s nice to look around and watch all the courts going on at once. There a little out of date but they get the job done. Nothing to complain about. There always available and we have lights so you can go whenever! "
"The field is super cool and up to date. The locker room is close to the field so it’s easy to get to practice. It’s clean, always available because we are the only ones allowed to use it and cages are right next to it. "
"We have a big practice field that allows multiple groups to work on new skills at once. Our game pitch is pretty nice but also regular. Nothing special but gets the job done."
"Our field is very nice. It was made about ten years ago but it looks brand new. The turf is a little old and needs To be replaced but other than that it’s solid. It’s raised with great seating and press box on top! "
"We are fortunate to have two golf course within walking distance near our school! We practice at Lake Jovita golf course, which is a country club located right next to saint leo. It’s a good course and we can normally head over anytime we want! "
"At the moment we practice in the gym that we share with volleyball, and both basketball teams. It gets the job done but I do wish we had a little more. We have mats we have to roll out and roll back up after practice and store them in the corner! "
"Coach C is very passionate about the game. He loves his players and really cares about them on and off the court. I loved playing here and wouldnt trade it for the world. "
"This baseball field is sick. I played here a few years ago and whenever I talk to former athletes they always say how they loved coming to saint leo to play because the field was so cool"
"Lance is a very knowledgeable coach. He understands the game of basketball and really cares about his players. He is very intense but it’s always with good intention. I love playing here!"
"These courts are actually some of the best in the country, especially at the d2 level. The only thing wrong with them is that they are facing east to west so when the sunsets it’s right in your face. Other than that a great facility. "
"Coach Anthony was an alright coach. He really cares about his players and loves to create relationships on and off the court. As far as knowing the game, that’s where he fumbles the bag. So it a a good atmosphere but lacks basketball IQ."
