"I had the absolute pleasure of being coached by Tony during my time at Central Washington University. I had never had a high jump coach other than YouTube prior to him and I can confidently say no one can top his dedication to developing an athlete. He made me more consistent, confident and calm in my approach to the sport. Helped me to win 6 GNAC Championships and was there all the way for me and my fellow jumpers. I graduated 12 years ago and to this day have a positive relationship with Coach Tony. I’ve been to a few of his meets and he still coaches with the same passion as I grew to know and love from him. Top of the top as a coach I have nothing but love and respect for him! "
"Coach Tony helped me so much in my college career at Seattle U. He gave me amazing advice not only for track but also for life. I would not have done as well as I did in my career without the dedication that Coach Tony gave to me. He focuses on the athletes overall well-being as well as the track aspect. An absolutely amazing human being."
"Coach Tony truly made my college experience better. He was supportive, encouraging, and always believed in me, especially during challenging times. His coaching style aligned perfectly with what I needed as an athlete, and he consistently pushed me to grow while also lifting me up when I needed it most. I’m very grateful for his guidance and the positive impact he had on my athletic and personal development."
"Tony was an excellent coach for me in college -- years ago now, but I have always remembered when he met with me the night before a big conference meet, and talked me through every possible scenario. He didn't have to do that. Nobody else needed this extra support. But he did it. He goes the extra mile, and he's caring, understanding and motivational. He really believes in his athletes but is also realistic about expectations and progress. -- and never in a negative way. Always "not yet" and never "never." Highly recommend Coach Tony!"
"Coach is amazing. He goes all in with athletes no matter what level. His knowledge and experience as well as ability is what got me through and to compete at high levels. His real world experience and recommendations are so helpful. "
"No ability to assess talent.
No ability to develop pitchers.
Very poor interpersonal skills.
Resulted in preventing talented pitchers from proceeding to the next level.
Poor communicator.
Caused injury with poor knowledge.
Steer clear of him if he ever shows upon a coaching staff."
"My experience with this coach was awful. If you are not a favorite of hers do not expect consistent communication. I do not feel like I grew as a player while being coached by her. If you want to leave college soccer with the same love of soccer you came in with I do not recommend Coach Julie Woodward."
"He’s a super nice guy. Very quiet. Goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are taken care of. He truly cares about the sport & the athletes he comes across. Nothing but positive things to say! "
"He cares more about how the team looks and doing things by the book than he does actually winning. Instead of playing the best players, he plays the oldest players and the ones who agree with him and visit his office the most. He doesn’t care about your mental health, just your physical appearance. He “demands” respect, but never tries to earn it and quite frankly does not deserve it because of how condescending he is towards his players and the manipulative actions he takes against his staff and players. He is dedicated, but he is not knowledgeable, educated, or interested in becoming either. "
"she is one of the worst coaches i have ever experienced. she seems to not take anything seriously and we never get coached during practice. she has single handedly stole the passion for rowing from me and my teammates by being the weakest leader i have ever seen. "
