"Working in the same department as him has been deeply frustrating. He is, without a doubt, the worst coach I’ve ever seen at the DI level. He is arrogant, condescending, and completely unprofessional on the sideline I've lost count of how many times I've watched him curse out referees and actively degrade his own players. Our athletic administration made a massive mistake bringing him in. He is remarkably shallow and lazy, chronically coasting by while forcing his assistant coaches to handle every single demanding aspect of the program. The student-athletes deserve so much better than this"

"A liar and cheat. He illegally scouts games, illegally removes scholarships, and breaks rules all the time. Him and his assistant coach are terrible humans who do not belong on a soccer field. Want proof? Look at how many yellow and red cards he gets? He is out of control."

"Whilst he is clearly knowledgeable about tennis, having been a former college athlete, Coach Dokken has opted to not share any of that knowledge. He is likely the most unmotivated, disinterested, and perhaps the most disingenuous coach I have ever had the opportunity to play under. He came into a program that had potential to make a play in the PSAC, however, his inability to manage, perform basic coaching-related duties, and his complete absence both emotionally, intellectually, and physically, has brought the team down to one that can barely put a full team on the court. Whilst there are numerous issues, Coach Dokken has shown he is not interested in fixing any of them, effectively using his Psychology degree to toy with players in order to keep them at the program until it’s too late, promising things that have emerged as completely false or non-existent. Overall, as an athlete but also as a person, I would ask that no player voluntarily compete under the tutelage of Coach Dokken, unless they enjoy stagnation and zero effort."
