"Kai played psychological head games, made you believe you were garbage, and would harass you in front of players and other teams. He pushed us so far physically that people would often pass out, get heat stroke, and throw up. He would force athletic trainers to clear injured players, and I played through many major sprained ankles, torn muscles, and illnesses. I have since dealt with the long standing effects of this.
He would routinely kick players out of practice, and shame them in front of the team and staff. So many of us lived in fear for two full years. I and many other teammates couldn’t eat or gain weight because of the stress and physical demands.
Once I quit, I spoke with many assistant coaches and trainers who described the abuse they also underwent. Our first assistant coach ended up quitting because I quote, “she couldn’t watch the abuse and stand silent anymore.”
This man should not be allowed to coach anyone and should not be working with young women.
He’s now been fired from several D1 college soccer programs, but somehow continues to get hired again. "
"My daughter was coached by Kai at SUU. She liked and respected Kai as a coach. My daughter’s confidence and skill on the field greatly improved under Kai’s coaching; he took her game to the next level.

"An amazing human being. Cares for you so deeply as a person and wants the best for you. So easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgeable of the game. "
"Coach Kai has been a great influence on my daughter’s development as a college soccer player. Under his coaching, she has grown not only in technical skill but also in her understanding of the game and her confidence on the field. He provides clear instruction, high standards, and consistent feedback that push players to reach their full potential. I am incredibly grateful for the positive impact he has had on her soccer journey."
"Some players don’t wanna do what it takes to play division one soccer while other work year round to get better. You have to work hard to play. Kai and Steven will make you a better player and better person. Ex players wanna place blame on coaches for them not coming prepared or fit to play. The forget ncaa only gives us two weeks in fall to prepare for three months playing. Only the strong survive. You’re messing with people lively hoods. Trust me I’m a current player I love it here, don’t believe disrespectful players or parents. "
