"Had the pleasure of playing for Coach Brown for two years. You won’t find a more passionate and positive coach that cares about his players. He loves the game of baseball. He has created a culture that demands your best as a player. He is always looking for ways to give back to the university, and community, if you earn the opportunity to play for Joe, it will be the best experience of your playing career. "
"Bully, divisive, pits players against each other, horrible culture, attacks players dealing with mental health. Just a real bad woman who treats other women on her team horribly"
"Smoke in mirrors. Inaccessible. Athletes are afraid to speak to him and it is his way or the highway, without explanation for why that is the best plan. Athletes withhold information from him to avoid being benched. The team creates a culture of unity against him, not with him. Really difficult to watch and be a part of. If you are intending to go there - ASK athletes about their real experiences and if they can talk to the coach. They call him a Robot without feeling. "
"Carries 40 guys on his roster. Sells most of them a bags of goods, just to get them to enroll in the school. Double standards of team rules base on ability."
"The weight room and other facilities were really nice. There are many fields for games and practices on the campus. It is a great way to train if you attend here. "
"Coach was not the nicest and most friendly when I went to visit. This was the first thing I noticed which led me to not want to play here. A lot of improvement could be done by him to make players want to play the game for fun and not his approval. "
"Lacks empathy and doesn’t know how to motivate female athletes at all
Belittles you if you become injured and has absolutely no faith in you if you are recovering from an injury
Not approachable and will make you feel bad about yourself for putting school as a priority
do not come here if you only want to just play soccer, you will NOT BE HAPPY"
"Coach Mac has lost his touch... over the years he has started to do things differently and lose control over his program. Cortland Football is not what it once was."
"Steve Patrick not only made me a better runner but also a better person. He's a no BS type of coach that appreciates hard work and enthusiasm, that being said if you're used to being coddled I'd recommend running for a less intense program. Also, he is probably one of the most intelligent XC/TF coaches in the NCAA. "
"The only thing Kelly Lickert-Orr only cares about more than herself is winning. She has terrible manners. She had a recruit to practice one time and said "don't worry she won't get in here." Kelly did not even have the decency to inform the recruit that she was not wanted; instead she allowed the high schooler to dream of being on the team only to have her dreams crushed without explanation. Absolutely terrible."
"No one should want to play for her. She ruined many people's, including myself, soccer experience. I played since I was four years old and she made me lose love for the game."
