"It’s amazing how after removing myself from the toxic environment created under this coach I am still having girls rant to me about the emotional abuse they are having to endure. As an athlete you want to be in an environment where you feel more than just a number on the field, you are comfortable having the difficult conversations with your coaches, and respect isn’t based on how much playtime you receive. Girls on this team are terrified to bring anything up to Pete because they are being told their issues whether mental, physical, or other are their fault and ONLY their fault. There is so little respect between the players and coach. You are left to fight your own battles with no support from the very people who are supposed to support you. So many good people and athletes leave this program because of the lack of respect and it is so sad to see. "
"Me and several of my teammates have left his program emotionally drained. I have never felt so used and worthless in my entire 16 years of playing soccer. Playing time is dangled around like crazy and his favoritism is painfully obvious. It takes an emotional and painful amount of effort to even see the field even though he will never give you a valid reason why you are not playing to begin with. Girls are hurt all the time. He always blames the lack of good play on our fitness, but never blames his coaching. It’s everyone EXCEPT his fault. If you try to talk to him about it, he blows it off as it being your fault and he is NEVER the problem."
"Enjoying my time, brand new program in the WAC. Worked my way into starting lineup. Good guy. Fair with playing time. I like his coaching and flexibility. "
"Pete is an overall okay guy, but a poor coach. He seems pretty checked out of the program and appears to let the girls on the team do as they please. Not to mention the culture of this team is horrible! Apart from a few the girls are very clicky towards one another and both the HC and AC feed into the toxic environment with their blatantly obvious favoritism. If you are a favorite on this team you may be in good shape, but don’t get on the coaches bad side or you won’t see the field again. There is also a lot of indirectness regarding playing time so you never truly understand where you stand on the team or why minutes may be cut short. The actual school itself is awesome and the coaches do care a lot about academics which is a plus! Please do your research before committing here because there are a lot of promises made that will not be upheld. "
"This a verbally, psychologically, mentally, physically abusive coach who was protected for 20 years by the Tarleton administration. She is racially insensitive to her ethnic players and assistant coaches. This lady has no business coaching young ladies in college sports or anywhere else. Steer clear! Narcissist..."
"Horrible human being. She 's an abusive coach with title 9 complaints and lawsuits that the school and the A&M system is sweeping under the rug. She appears to be on drugs and is racially insensitive. She emotionally, physically, psychologically and verbally abuses players, especially minority players. She threatens and uses scholarships as leverage to manipulate players behavior towards her. This horrible human has no business around young women."
"Unethical. Her players witnessed her in a moral turpitude situation and was benched to keep them quiet. Believe that AD and past administration covered up a lot."
