"Players have quit this team after years of playing.
This coach is so unempathetic and basically a nasty person who will lie to your face.
All practices are not based on teaching, but based on punishment.
She doesn't care about breaking the NCAA rules and will over train the team .
This team is good with great players but when you have a coach who doesn't know how to coach, have compassion, and is a horrible human being, we will loose every game.
We want her to leave !
"
"Probably the worst coach I have ever encounted in my entire lacrosse career as a player.
Stands on the sidelines and says nothing. Does not give advice . Team has learned nothing.
All players are afraid to make a mistake or you will get pulled out. This isnt a way to play a game.
Every practice has turned into a punishement.
Her Assistant Coaches hate her too.
NOT ONE PLAYER LIKES HER.
Her coaching style is if you kiss her a*s she will play you even if you have poor stick skills.
She would be a great JV high school coach.
We all hope the Athletic Director fires her.
"
"Kristen Carr needs to go back to coaching a Varsity High School team .
She might have played Lacrosse at UNC but CANNOT COACH.
She needs to learn how to teach . Instead every practice is a punishment where she goes against NCAA rules.
The team wishes she would leave or get fired.
You look in her eyes and there is nothing there. Not a caring woman.
She also cant keep players on the team. We lost a bunch of players.
"
"Coach Michael Jackson is the worst sprints coach I’ve ever had. He only likes athletes from New Jersey, could care less about your academia, and is extremely biased. I was on his first recruiting class at Towson, and he was fired 2 years after I graduated for harassment. If you have a women’s team, he would be the worst choice for a head coach. "

"This Assistant Coach is great. I would say she would be an asset to our team if the Head Coach would allow her to actually have a thought and not control every little situation. I think our team would be winning if the Head Coach would listen to the Assistant Coach she hired. It's sad to say this coach will not last long unless the Head Coach leaves. "
"This coach lives in her glory days of playing and cares more about her AU PRO & USA BOX TEAM then the team she is actually hired to coach. Dont feel she is ready for the D1 Head Coaching position and perhaps needs to go take a coaching position with a local varsity High School . This team for years was playing well until this coach came alone. She can try to blame the players but the past years record under the old coaching staff was better positioned to play in the CAA. "
"Future Recruits : Run, dont walk away from this toxic unknowlegable coach. Her style of coaching can be best described as "I know how to loose a game".
If you are good at not catching the ball and turnovers, then you will be fine and probably get lots of playing time. True gifted players need
re-think coming to this team under this coach. "
"This team has been systematically broken down this year with our new coach Kristen Carr. I never thought I would miss the unorganized coaching style of The Lamonicas. We are now to the point that we as a team are incapable of beating a decent D3 team. More specifically, Carr makes zero in game and halftime player adjustments. This Coach will see a train wreck approaching literally from 2 miles away and continue to walk right into its path. I am happy to be graduating and getting out of this team who will have no chance with Kristen Carr and the horrible coaching staff which she controls too. Coach has her favorites and these players get to stay on the field the whole game. Even when terrible mistakes are made. Normally coaches would make adjustments, not this coach. She is a looser. "

"The worst coach I ever had. Actually, all three of them are terrible. I am not a student-athlete anymore so I can write whatever I want without getting in trouble. The assistant coach is obsessed with one his players and will literally get her out of any trouble. But if you’re not her or from Maryland, good luck getting some time because you are going to have to work so much harder in order to even step on the field. She knows no knowledge about soccer. She literally watched the practices and games while the assistant do ALL the work. She is a waste of a spot. She ruined my chances of reaching my dreams and she is the reason why I went to therapy and fell out of love with the sport. "

"Coach was a liar. A straight up liar. There is a reason why over 20 girls left her program her first three years she was there. I was told that she only adored girls who were raised in Maryland or internationals. She made the players lives a living hell and she if you were an ok player your freshman year, she will never EVER play you. Might as well just transfer after your freshman year because she will look at you like you’re nothing. The soccer team isn’t amazing since she has been hired I don’t know why they extended her contract because she is ruining the program. So many players are in therapy because of her AND the assistant coaches. One of the assistant coaches is literally obsessed with one of the field players and only gives her attention and only talks about her. He treats her like she’s the best player in the world. The team culture is awful. I was told they always partied even during the season and all had their cliques. They all made poor decisions and she wouldn’t care if you were one of her favorites. If not, you’re screwed. Towson women's soccer has so much potential… and you pick those three as your coaching staff. Good work Towson… you’re ruining your reputation. "
"SECU arena is home to basketball and gymnastics. It was renovated a couple of years ago and is still in very good condition. Has a nice view of the football and soccer facilities as well"
"For a mid major school this stadium is pretty impressive! Generous amount of seating on both sides of the field and located close to several other athletic facilities. Home to track & field as well so track goes around the field too."
"The soccer stadium is located right next to the basketball arena, and across from the football field which is very convenient. Nice turf and seating area. Practice field right next to it."
"Lisa Costello is a great coach if you are a favorite. She is a great person overall but as a coach she is not someone who I would recommend playing under. You have to ask every question under the sun to get a solid answer to a problem about yourself. You will get left in the dark if you do not speak up. Communication skills need improvement. Players are players but people first not just runs or plays. The players had to create their own culture without coaches because there was no middle ground being met. Lisa is open to changing team culture but not players on the field even if the team is not successful. "
"If he likes you, you can get away with anything at any point. His style of coaching is throw something against the wall and hope it sticks. The women’s team openly disliked each other and he did nothing to help by naming one of the biggest problems on the team captain. Openly ridiculed swimmers in front of the whole team. Lord and would say it was because “he expects more” but would do nothing to help you reach it."

"Struggles to build a positive and healthy team culture. Very dysfunctional environment. Seeking professional counseling to help regain my confidence. "
"Jake is a fantastic coach. He may be significantly harsher on some swimmers, but it’s because he sees potential. He values all types of swimmers, whether that be getting through college or progressing to the next level of swimming."
"Coach Metil is very results driven. However, if he wants a particular athlete to succeed he will do everything he can to make sure that happens. This is great if you are the athlete he wants to succeed. If not, you have to work 5 times harder and could produce the same result but still not get the reward. "
"Coach Jackson is the rudest, most insensitive Coach I have even experienced. Has no care for you as a person outside of practice, whether that be academically or mentally. Expects you to be an athlete-student. Very toxic environment "
"She is extremely laid back and practice are ran more so by assistant coaches than by her. She cares more about quantity than quality and only cares about you getting stuff done. "
"She does not know when to push players or how to motivate, she lets things slide that she shouldn't, she's too lenient and not tough enough. She doesn't help you get better and doesnt offer any tips, she'll tell you a swing is good just to boost your confidence without ever actually fixing any problems. She is lazy and not trusted among players."
"If you want to get better at swimming he's your guy. Not only is he a grade A++ Coach he's a grade A+++++++++ human. Has the knowledge and ability to identify problems and mold outstanding members of society. "
"Mike Jackson knows a lot about the sprints, hurdles and jumping events in track and field. When he is lacking knowledge in distance and throws events, he recruits good coaches to come in and take over that spot. Because of where his knowledge is heavier, he tends to favor those athletes in those events a little more. Other than that, he does try to go out of his way to help people in outside life events when possible... so long as that person is contributing to the program overall in some way."
