"Did not enjoy my time at UCCS. He lied to me my whole year telling me I was going to play yet not once gave me a proper chance to play. One practice we had a recruit and he led the warm up bc our assistant coach had left, we did sommer salts in the warm up… team culture was awful, played lots of favorites and the favorites knew they were the favorites and would treat others unkindly. Made me lose the love for the game of soccer."

""Coach Ricki" has posted a career coaching record of 252 wins and 373 losses. At her last stop (UCCS) not only did she have a record of 161-203 but she also completely ignored the alumni program and the history of the program. Ms. Rothbauer clearly said she would have an alumni game when "I have my alumni". Her education of the game was comical. Most players stats plummeted after their 1st year. Had odd coaching philosophies I.e. standing in a hula hoop in the dugout after a player made a mistake so they could "think about it" and the other players would respect the players boundaries while in the hoop. Had numerous situations during her 8 years at last stop of forgetting to re-enter a player. Batting philosophy is a joke. How does a kid come in as a freshman make all conference and then watch her batting average drop by almost 200 points in the next few years. Has a player in dugout call pitches. Her "staff"consisted of injured players. She was without an assistant coach in numerous years and would have injured players coach first base. "

"He tries to coach by fear. This isn’t football. The last thing you want as a player, is to not want your coach around. He’s relatively clueless about the mental and swing aspects of the game. Glorified bus driver at this point. How has he been coach for 15 years and still does not have a deal with a course in the area that the team can play at anytime? Time for the school to find a new coach who cares. "
