"He was a character for sure – picked favorites with regularity but honestly that's not a benefit because if you did well you'd get a forehead kiss... WHICH IS WILD especially when it was during a game (why no one said anything I have NEGATIVE IDEA). Jeff was kinda neurotic (ie would get drunk on travel trips and proceed to be escorted off the plane or denied the ability to fly) . We had crazy conditioning standards that honestly didn't end up mattering much at all. Personality wise, Jeff was something – married a former player to give you insight. He cared about us and wanted to be a father figure, brought his kids around us, but just took things too far. Not very motivational unless you get going when a grown man throws a tantrum in the locker room breaking stuff and throwing his pens. "

"Coach Liza Kelly has built an incredible program at Denver, and what stands out most is the culture she creates for these young women. She leads with maturity, honesty, and clarity. She understands that she’s coaching young minds, not just athletes, and she handles that responsibility with professionalism and care. What I appreciate most is that she doesn’t play games. She’s direct, transparent, and fair about expectations. My daughter may not get a lot of playing time right now, but she always knows exactly what she needs to do to earn more opportunities. That kind of honest communication is invaluable for player development and confidence. What has impressed me most over the years is watching the young women who come through this program. I have now seen two different senior classes graduate under Coach Kelly, and they consistently leave as true leaders, supportive teammates, and genuinely better people because of their experience in this program. The character, accountability, resilience, and respect these players demonstrate speaks volumes about the environment she has created. Coach Kelly has built far more than a successful lacrosse program — she has built a culture that develops strong women both on and off the field, and I’m grateful my daughter gets to be part of it."

"Don't let her chatty personality fool you, this coach is a full blown narcissist who has created a toxic environment for her teams dating back decades. Mentally abusive, unorganized, creates zero team bonding, and talks bad about current players to their other teammates. She was under investigation at Texas, but left before they could fire her. She is the reason players end up hating their sport and cause mental health issues with players. She is manipulative, plays favorites and in general a pathetic definition of a coach. She talks a big game and will promise development but in general she doesn't even know what she is doing as a player herself and the only attempt at development will be the ones she picks and chooses and all the other players will literally be ignored or screamed out while her favorites literally get away with breaking the rules and even the law and she turns a blind eye. Do not put your child through the torture of being one of her players. She is not worthy of the title of a head coach. Avoid at all cost."
