"He was just a letdown as a coach. Good luck to the people who aren't the fastest swimmers on the team, he barely gives them the time of day. Also he has a lot of issues outside of the pool (seriously you should do your own background check on him), that once you hear or find out about are alarming."
"Loves to play favorites , makes a divide in the team , not organized , slightly knowledgeable, lies to her athletes, has unrealistic expectations for her athletes"
"Emily fisher puts on a nice facade. Is great at recruiting other coaches to do her recruiting but that’s about the only thing. Her OAC titles are only won by the girls who she brings in who have had great coaching prior to her. She doesn’t coach, her players have to beg for any criticism and she gives half thought answers or super vague responses to why they aren’t playing well. She is not accessible and any questions you would ask her in an office visit we’re given non answers. She is completely unfair in her coaching styles and plays intense favorites. She dismisses clear bullying and harassment on her team by handing off the responsibility to her captains. Her pregame speeches include “go out there and have fun” or “we have to win” rather than anything of substance. Her during game coaching style is none. She pulls girls off the field and fails to explain what they need to do better next time or why they are being pulled off. She would rather gossip near the end zone with her assistant coach who is just about as valuable if not less. She has completely given up on coaching and planned no play days or scrimmages for the fall season. She consistently pushes eating disorders on her girls and tells them fries are bad for them and shamed the girls for eating Taco Bell. When she knows they are college students and don’t have access to tons of money or a kitchen. Most are eating what the dining hall serves. As a parent I would get a call just about every day from my daughter in tears. The girls put so much effort in yet none of that is returned. After a long trip to Michigan and an early morning game. Coach fisher did not plan on feeding the girls until about 6 hours later. She planned only one meal until one of the captains spoke up so she went and bought 2 loaves of bread and pb&j. This was an afterthought. Coach fisher pretends to be empathetic but simply shares her own life sob stories and could not care less about the mental health of her team "
"One of the few men on staff that made the program worth while. A great man of integrity who never failed to greet me with a smile. He loves his players and Gettysburg College. I know I could email him any time of day and he'd be there for me, and I wasn't even in his position group. "
