"There is a reason why this person has won countless “Coach of the Year” awards in multiple conferences. He has knowledge, passion and dedication to his players is unprecedented. The team also has the highest GPA of any sport on campus.
He comes from a golf family and has been a PGA Member for over 25 years. His brother has a strong reputation as one of the best golf instructors in Texas. "
"Carl Sheffield is less than just a bad coach, he’s a sad excuse of a person. For some odd reason he managed to be employed at the university for over 20 years. He has openly made homophobic, racist, sexist comments and microaggressions toward athletes and staff. He has told staff that if he’s going down, em he’s taking everyone with him. He has instructed coaches to allow athletes to break the rules and to look the other way, so that if they ever wanted to kick the athlete off the team, they could (entrapment). He regularly threw temper tantrums. He regularly was tardy to events. He was regularly Ill prepared for traveling, and managing the team during travel. His accolades and achievements are vastly absent despite being at the university for over 20 years. He threatened individuals for their scholarship and position on the team on numerous occasions throughout the year. He plays favorites and allowed for individuals to blatantly break rules and still compete and be apart of the team if he liked them, but if he didn’t they were remove (this included but wasn’t limited to DUIs, being caught with paraphernalia, fighting, and disregard for team rules). I’m disappointed, along with many other athletes and staff that he wasn’t fired earlier than 2022. "
"Natasha is a compliance officer. She pretends to care and do her job when it comes to upholding NCAA conduct. She sits on a high horse and wants nothing more than to progress her career. When it comes to reporting violations, she will do nothing to progress the situation for you and will doubt you, as well as defend the university and the staff %100 of the time. She tries to prevent athletes from seeing the Athletic director, by discouraging them and stating that the AD does not have time to see athletes. She’s out of touch and tone deaf. She also discourages you from expecting anything to be done by the university if talking to Title IX, the dean of students, or the Equal opportunity center. Interesting and odd that the new head coach for track and field is an acquaintance of hers. The staff at UNT have something going on that should probably be looked into. I don’t recommend sending your athlete there in light of the last decades cover up of illegal activity and NCAA violations, and especially because of how Natasha deals with athletes. "
"He threatened multiple athletes positions and participation on the team, and went against NCAA guidelines. He allowed an aggressive, and hostile environment where athletes hated each other and attacked each other in group chats in which he was involved in and said nothing, nor reported incidents to the head coach. He was poor in knowledge about training and demanded everything be his way or the high way. He kicked off the only all American on campus because of his own personal disdain. He failed to prepare the jumps group for the season and they performed poorly. He was fired twice in two years by two universities for continuing actions that are against the NCAA guidelines. "
"Was an athlete on the team and Kelso was one of the best coaches on the staff. He cared for athletes and gave sound advice, as well as maintained a group of throwers that created and maintained a healthy and competitive culture."
"Coach Littrell became the head coach at UNT a few years back. He has successfully changed the culture and turned our football program around. He is a very knowledgeable coach who has earned national recognition among college football coaches. The players would all agree that he is very easy to get along with and knows when to have fun."
